Hi guys I just installed SXOS. .XCI filed work fine but I downloaded a good chunk of. NSP games and have hard you need something called DEVMENU to get them to work. my switch is 6.00 and am using SXOS1.9

for XCI I just dump to root of SD card. Do I still need devmenu (heard it's garunteed ban) or does SXOS now have a built in way to load NSP files?

DEVMENU no longer works with OFW 6.0, use Tinfoil instead. Though i think SX OS has an auto installer for .NSP files

SX OS has their own title installer but it has been known to corrupt games. While some people report not being affected, others were not so lucky. I recommend you install the .NSP files using Tinfoil which has options not found in their title installer such as bypassing certain firmware requirements and wireless installation. To install .NSP files with Tinfoil, place them in a folder named nsp in a folder named tinfoil (Tinfoil automatically creates this folder when it is run for the first time).

is tinfoil as potent as devmenu? and if one would update ones switch to 5.1 instead of 6, would you prefere devmenu instead of tinfoil?

DEVMENU USED to be batter as originally Tinfoil could only install base games. Right now, Tinfoil can do everything .NSP related that DEVMENU can

EDIT: Ninja'd

Okay SXOS seems to have an autoinstaller and NSP files work fine. No need for dev menu.

I guess my only complain is needing to use sleep mode all the time and needing the dongle to boot with autoRCM. very pleased with how easily updates were installed too.

Tinfoil works just as good as DevMenu and works on firmware 6.0 unlike DevMenu; Tinfoil is the best title installer.
Plus it can install DLC and updates, I installed a bunch of XC2 DLCs a few days ago and they work just fine.

Although the NSP for Torna doesn't work, but that's going into a gray area..
