Hacking B9S doesn't work when I open my patched DSiWare game

I'm using 3ds.hacks.guide. I've been able to make it through the first three sections with relative ease, following everything exactly, and I'm on 11.8.0-41J. At this point, when I open my DSiWare game, it boots to a black screen for a second or two, then turns white, flashes a mint lime colour, and goes back to white, staying that way until I turn it off or exit the app. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, since I managed to get B9S to work perfectly on an old system of mine, and the game itself reads "4 Swords" when I look at what it's called on the system (yes, I copied it from the SD card to the system), which should be a telltale sign that I managed to get it to work correctly. If I remove the SD card, it just stays mint-lime after flashing to that colour. Does anyone know what's going on here? I've followed everything to a T, even repeating the process multiple times.

It's a N2DSLL, getting on my nerves because I tried the Steelminer method yesterday and that didn't work either. I'm out of options for what to do, especially since I had managed to do this only a few weeks ago with zero interruptions.

Your JPN n2DSLL (wow that's really weird to type this without XL) should use this:

Steelminer (JPN free cfw , US/EU/JP free homebrew)

Edit - there's also another variety.

The first link you linked to is also in the guide OP was following. OP, your N2DSLL is Japanese or a region converted to Japanese? Does the DSiWare game you are using match un-hacked console's region?

It is brand new, purchased in Japan. I’m using タッチで漫才! メガミの笑壺DL, which costed 500 yen from the Japanese shop.

I tried Steelminer, and will definitely do so again if using the paid DSiWare game I’m currently trying to use doesn’t work out. Steelminer booted normally every time, but it’s possible that I didn’t move a file or something, because I’ve tried using the paid method multiple times and Steelminer only once.
