Hacking Switch with 4 stripped tri wing screws

Ive tried rubban . Super glue. Nothing worked any other ideas to remove these horrible made screws. Thanks again

it was. A switch i had before i got the correct tools. Im thinking of using a dremel and grind off the head of each one. Just looking for option before going this route

Try putting an elastic band over the screw head - then use a tri wing screwdriver on top of the rubber band, apply pressure and remove. If that doesn't work you can try bonding another screw (upside down) to it - and then use pliers to twist it out.

google "Easyout". its a tool you might only use once or twice, but worth every penny. I repair electronics for a living and I run into this all the time. at least you owned up to doing it. my clients always tell me they bought the device that way.

I have one question for the op out of curiosity though. After stripping the first 3 screws why did you attempt the fourth?

Yes, I assumed it was implied that I meant one or two jobs, and not individual screws. Thanks for pointing that out though.

Were you able to get the screws out? In same situation.

Something wrong with Switch screws. Nothing to do with tool. Even the Phillips tip on the joy on rail ended up with few stripped ones!

get yourself a small amount of two part epoxy like jb-weld or something and use it to epoxy a different head into the stripped out spot think like making it all in one. you won't have to use a tri wing for this let it cure and then slowly and carefully remove it.

you will need to be careful not to get any epoxy down the threads and hope you didn't get superglue in the threads either.

if that doesn't do is your best bet is going to be trying to find the worlds smallest drill bit.
