Hacking Why Does Everyone Hate On SX OS?

I read every single bit of it. Sure you answered the complaints but that doesn't invalidate the complaints themselves. TX fucked up every single update they released and these fuck ups could have been avoided had they taken their time and done more testing

I did but I meant it as in people bashing a product even though they used the said product. I could like chocolate ice cream, and act as if the best thing ever but then go and say "oh, but I tasted vanilla". It's a way to invalidate anyone trying to prove that you're a fanboy. In my rant I didn't favor anyone. I don't hate TX nor do I like them enough to fight for them. Their os is nice, but it doesn't have everything. I enjoy their homebrew menu + xci loading. However reinx has sysmodules and other stuff too, so *shrug*.

SX OS costs money, and there are free custom firmwares that effectively do the same thing. I also don't like it when someone repackages free software and puts it behind a paywall.

I bought SXOS when it was the only option because it was only $25 and I’m impatient. I played .xci backups online for months until I finally got banned. Since I’ve been banned I switched to ReiNX and I have to say that while SXOS is cleaner overall than ReiNX, it does not justify purchasing it at this point in the scene. I still have SXOS on my switch but I haven’t used it since being banned and installing all my xci files to nsp. What Team Xecuter is doing is unethical, but the amount of hate they receive is unnecessary in my opinion. They’re a company that profits off of piracy. Does it really shock anyone that they’d steal code too?

People hate on them because they are jealous. They've made some mistakes, everyone does. That "they burn fuses" thing is a bunch of crap though. Nintendo burn fuses, TX just didn't block Nintendo burning fuses.

The main reason for buying SX OS is for XCI loading, which you can't do for free.

First of all no one is jealous. Second of all it was proven they did burn fuses, look up some of the old threads on that subject. Third of all you most certainly CAN load .XCI for free. Sure the app is still in a WIP state and not every game is compatible but you can. People hate on them because of all the reasons already stated here before. Jealousy is not among them. After all, what would an end user have to be jealous of?

I don't understand why people hate on it. I got a nice dongle that has been thoroughly tested. And a good RCM jig that isnt made of hard paperclips that could potentially screw up my joy con rails. I drag one file in and boot and thats all i have to do. It is the most convenient solution there is. You can be up and running from fresh in no time. I just dont understand how 30 dollars is so expensive.

Convenience is nice but many of their features go untested such as their newest layeredFs update is causing game and system crashes left and right.

Yeah, but maybe 5% of all people are using layeredFS. This product is aimed at a different crowd. I haven't touched it. All I've done, and im sure just a few others have just ran some NSP's and XCI's along with emulators.
