How necessary is the 56k resistor? If I get a micro USB to USB c without the 56k resistor will it be fine?

.NSP files are easier to implement and have far more uses than .XCI files. For example, you can't load an update or DLC as an .XCI but you can as .NSP
Your console may avoid getting bricked however for the purposes of the RCM exploit, its likely not necessary as its only used for sending data not charging the console hence why third party docks caused "bricks".
By going online to unlink it, of course you are risking a ban with your console's certificate (which is primarily how they ban users). You also cannot unlink the account in Stealth Mode since it blocks all Nintendo traffic.

Let's say FW 6.0.0 is already out and CFW already work on it great. So, I want to upgrade to it. Should i just restore my 5.1.0 clean nand backup and upgrade through nintendo servers and then do a new clean nand backup of OFW 6.0.0 through hekate? Should I delete my 5.1.0 clean nand backup or is it worth to keep it? I wouldn't want to do update to 6.0.0 without burning fuses (outside nintendo servers), because for me the purpose of doing a clean nand backup is to go back to OFW if i don't want to mess with hacking and homebrew anymore. And as i read here, nintendo could detect if you did a update without using their servers and ban you (??).

I'd like to get the updates/remaining portion of NBA 2k19 downloaded. How can I go about this? (I'd prefer to stay off eshop)

Yes although you do risk a ban by connecting the console online in CFW.
I would download the 6.0 firmware files from the Internet (xbins is a good start) then install it using ChoiDujourNX. I see no reason why anyone with a hacked console would download and install the 6.0 firmware update officially.
Download the update in .NSP format from your illegal website of choice, put it on your SD card, then install it using either TX's title installer or the homebrew, Tinfoil.
All hacks and homebrew have better compatibility with firmware 5.1 due to the exploit working on all firmwares and that the latest firmware is the one most people are on.
But as i said, can't nintendo detect if i installed an update through an unofficial method? As my NSW wasn't banned and nither my Nintendo Accounts wouldn't be safer to update officially? And as for the clean nand backup of OFW 5.1.0 i have, can i update to OFW 6.0.0 and restore OFW 5.1.0 nand backup without a problem?
The difference between updating officially and using homebrew seems insignificant in the long run especially if the console is hacked. If you believe it to be safer to update the console officially, then you could do what you said, restore the NAND, then update officially. However I would rather wait for a solution such as EmuNAND because it'll streamline the process a lot more than constantly backing up and reflashing the NAND. On top of that, online is going to become paid very soon so unless you plan on paying for those services, you are unnecessarily giving yourself more work than usual.

Your original purchases would need to be reinstalled using SX OS, giving them fake tickets, which no longer makes them your purchases. If you are fine with that, which gives you an inherent ban risk, then you can unlink your account and reinstall all of your games.
That's impossible as Nintendo's servers will not be aware that the account is unlinked.
CFW usually have their own corresponding versions to help differentiate from OFW. For example, the latest update for SX OS is V1.9, ReiNX is V1.6, and Atmosphere is currently awaiting V0.7. However all of these versions work up to firmware 5.1 (partially on firmware 6.0) so the CFW version number has no correlation to the OFW version number. Also you do not "install" CFW. The exploit is temporary and is lost upon reboot/shutdown. Plus, CFW are just a bunch of files on the SD card that are enabled once you send a certain payload that enables them.
Kay thx. But in the case I just want to play backup (and launch some homebrew). You recommand to update to 5.1 (I have a 4.1), then nand backup via hekate, then launch RajNX (I understood that it's the most user friendly for beginner?) and then use tinfoil?
I would recommend using ChoiDujourNX if you wish to update to 5.1 so you can still downgrade to 4.1 if you wish to use the future exploit that doesn't involve a jig and USB cable. After that, I would recommend either using ReiNX or Atmosphere which can be found at reinx.guide or tomGER's SD files respectively. RajNX is not the most user-friendly as there are no instructions on how to customize it whatsoever.
