Misc About CFW and MHGU update tool

I'm still running 11.7 but with the latest Luma installed. Assuming I update today, will it be safe to download the MHG Data transfer tool from the eshop in order to transfer my data to the switch? I only ask since I have some custom titles installed on my system and am not sure if this would trigger their new sys check thing.

The only way your gonna trigger the new check is downloading anything from freeshop using the sleepmode. Which triggers the NIM module which does send console information to ninty.

Got few questions about MHG on 3ds :

- I'm using a .3ds rom to play it, and i m wondering if i can get the switch transfer from my saves files.
- If i buy the original game, would i recover my saves files from .3ds Rom to original game ?

Hm, is that how it works? Strange that sleep mode is the only thing that would trigger it. In theory they COULD make your info view able for any type of update if they wanted in the future.

As for the thread's main issue, I have updated my 3ds and transferred my MHG save to the Switch without any issues or banning.
