*SOLVED* Read comment number 7.

As the title says. I install a game perfectly fine (God Eater Resurrection).

Run the game and the game works just fine. I note that my live area shows there is an update for the game to update to v1. 1 (currently 1.0).

I run PKGJ again, go to update section, I click on the update that has a blue dot. It downloads the update and there is now a white arrow.

Go to my Vita Shell, and refresh Live Area and also Patches. Live Area shows no new content refreshed, patches shows content has been refreshed.

In my live Area God Eater Resurrection still shows that a update to the game is available, I click the update as if I would update from Live Area and it tells me game is up to date and the icon disappeared.

I run the game, and my game version still shows 1.0 when it should be 1.1??

When I go to Vita Shell and browse my folders, I can see a patch has been downloaded because it is there. Also the DLC files are there.....

I am not even sure my DLC work because I downloaded alternate costumes for my squad, but when I go to change their clothes there is no alternative costumes to be found, BUT my Vita Shell shows there is DLC downloaded in the game ID DLC location.

I read on google that even though you did download game updates, the live area will show updates are available, but when you log in your game, it will show correct game version in game.... But as I said, mine is still stuck on 1.0 even after update 1.1.

What i would do is

Download base game, do update via live area then install the costumes.

I had a similar issue with another game and this is what I did to fix it.

Problem is. Updating game from live does not work. I get error msg.

The game would download the update perfectly fine.... But as soon as it should install the update, I am greeted with an error msg. Can not remember what the code is though.....

Also God Eater Resurrection I downloaded as a .vpk file from a site that offers over 500 games in vpk format.

I copied over the vpk and installed it via Vita Shell. Not sure if that makes a diff as I did not download directly from PKGJ to get the game.

But it should work vise versa? I mean even though I installed via vpk, it still showed in PKGJ that God Eater Resurrection is installed and it did show up on the updates and dlc section of PKGJ?

It's possible the vpk you downloaded was a dump from a psychical copy, so it's possible is making a difference. But I'm not sure at that point

It might be a compatibility issue, because the VPK would be a decrypted version instead of the encrypted nonpdrm it's probably expecting.
You do have the nonpdrm plugin installed, correct?

Yes, have the nonpdrm installed.

Will try redownloading game via PKGJ and see if it makes a difference. I did not know that there might be a chance for a vpk file to be a direct dump or encrypted even still.

With that being said, the file was downloaded from a site that uses nopaystation to patch said games on the site.

What makes downloading games from PKGJ different than downloading a direct vpk file? I mean, I have nonpdrm plugin to bypass encryption? So if that os the case why is nonpdrm plugin not working on a game that is a direct dump?

TL;DR
Always download games from PKGJ and everything will work as it should. PKGJ is your all in one location to make everything easy.

Downloading a vpk requires you to use nopaystation method to update and get DLC for your game.

So choose which method you prefer to get your games, and stick to it. Dont mix.

Okay. So I solved my issue thanx to you guys.

Apparently the problem was the vpk file I downloaded. PKGJ does not work that way. I downloaded game again, this time from PKGJ directly, and the game even updated correctly from Live Area this time .

PKGJ requires you to download games directly from PKGJ in order for everything to work fine, including updating and DLC list it seems. (correct me if I'm wrong)

Installing the game from vpk does make the game show up on PKGJ as an installed game under the game list. It also makes the game show up under the update list and also the DLC list. But downloading them has no effect to the actual game even though it shows on PKGJ that the updates and DLC are installed.

I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.

In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol
