Is this possible with just the joycons? I have been trying to make it work for days with no luck.. also when someone asks in the retroarch thread nobody answers.
Can you find it again and post it here?Someone did a manual controller remap in the retroarch discord channel and apparently it worked for individual joycons. I haven't tried it personally so take it with a grain of salt.
Please tell me where or where to search for it. Thanks!Someone did a manual controller remap in the retroarch discord channel and apparently it worked for individual joycons. I haven't tried it personally so take it with a grain of salt.
or you know buy a pro controller...
8 bitdo adapter for 20 and uses various controllers I use my ps4 controller to play while docked and a wired switch controller for like another 20 i think its what i paid at gamestop. No thanks. I am aiming for convenience. Besides, I really like the concept of splitting the joycons to play a two player game.

depending on controller all you have to do is put your controller in pair mode and then push the pair button on the adapter then it should automatically pair. for the ps4 you hold the PS button and share button which will put it in pair mode. i believe there is a website from the manufacturer with a list of all or most compatible devices to use its a pretty broad list. this is the one i use http://www.8bitdo.com/wireless-usb-adapter/ which is very nice looking considering its sticking out of my switchs dock. and I can also hook it up directly to my switch without the dock in portable mode but you need a usb c adapter and i had one which came with my S8.Any tutorial on the 8 bitdo adapter? I would invest in a couple of cheap NES knock off controllers or something. Sounds cool.
