Dont question me on this but, i think keys are console specific, his keys wont work on your system i think..Basically like you trying to use your door key in someone elses home...

Your keys are tied to your console, i think there in the tegrachip but im not sure...

Anyway so if you use someone elses keys it will not work,
You need to backup your own keys i advise this to everyone not only a emmc/nand backup will save your ass. Hence why i made a guide for a full backup
https://gbatemp.net/threads/backup-...-your-biskeys-tseckeys-keys-txt-guide.513386/

You may use any of the system files across consoles except for dev console ovb, which doesnt vary that much. But you still need to decrypt/encrypt them with your system keys/ids for the hardware or security to except them..

The guide about updating without blowing fuses/ and choidujoirNx by rajkosto
Can take clean system files/updates and you encrypt them with your own keys from your console for them to work,
Dunno if i explained to well but there you go

Thank you for this but what if i restore prodinfo, prodinfo, system and user in his backup ?
You know for the GPT partition thing in which gptrestore can't do anything

You can use his files but like i said you need to encrypt them with your own keys in this case Biskeys using hackdiskmount,,

I dont see why you want to use his files..

Personally id use choidujour nx and download the system files from xbins 4.1 4.0 .5.1 etc
If you cant then just use the update firmware without burning fuses guide i mention but make sure to use the same system files aka if your on 5.10 use 5.10 if your on 4.10 use 4.10

Im not sure what your trying to do or achieve but i dont
think this is the thread you should be asking, or create your own

Fake sx thing ??? You mean you want to use a copy version or cracked version of sxos ??
Just dont do it, theres no genuine cracked sxos atm. or full should i say..

If there is nothing wrong with your system atm then just make a rawnand.bin backup.
But you can restore from partition backups using hackdiskmount

If you made a full backup in the beginning like mentioned in my guide then you should have your ass covered, if your system is fine atm just make a rawnand backup or follow my guide

I mean rn it's bricked by the fake SX payload thing (and N is asking €240 to repait it) and i just kept every partition of my backup except user (cause 26GB)
I already tried restoring my partitions but doesn't work.
afaik gpt data and a part of prodinfo are screwed by that (prodinfo should fine now cause i restored it).
I backed up used just before sending the system, apparantly it doesn't get modified by the payload

Not to get banned ^^'.
...
Can i still make the "clean" backup?

A "clean" backup is not a "safe" backup.
Cleanliness isn't just what's important, continuity seems to be important as well.
As people HAVE been banned for CLEARING their logs.

I'd think that even if you had a clean backup of your OWN Switch
(made BEFORE any cfw/homebrew/nsp/xci),
but you restored it AFTER you've been online after that backup was made,
you MIGHT still get banned, because some logs will disappear (and it will look to Nintendo like you rolled back your logs).

Imo the only way to be properly safe, banwise, with your Switch (barring the obvious option of not hacking it), is:
  • make a NAND backup BEFORE any cfw/SXos/homebrew/nsp/xci
  • ALWAYS be offline since this backup was made, I'd say DELETE ALL your internet connections
  • if you EVER want to go online, RESTORE your NAND backup first
  • and make a NEW NAND backup when you're going back offline again to use cfw/etc
Can i make a NAND Backup of a Second switch (of my roommate) and use it for my switch or can i brick it or get 100% banned when i'm trying to do so?
You'll brick it.
NAND backups are console specific.

AFAIK, you can make a "clean" NAND anyway with your biskeys by using choidujour and having an empty USER partition. "Clean" but not necessarily "safe", imo.

You are so wrong Nand backups are not console specific, but the keys system keys stored in them are. you can use any system files as long as you encrypt them with your system keys.
But i agree with you you should make a virgin emmc/nand backup before you do anything with the console cfw/homebrew etc.And keep all cfw or sutom offline..

The logs are detected because you was online before with bad logs and when you restore virgin nand or clean you upload or have different logs ..

If you cfw at all stay offline as soon as u go online you are at risk. end of

I was talking about OP's use case where he will obviously just flash back some other console (his roommate's) rawnand.bin into his Switch.

I know it's not technically 100% accurate, but I did mention you can recreate the NAND files with just your biskeys, to hint that I DO KNOW about more complicated methods. so saying "so wrong" is completely presumptive, and not a correct statement given the context that has been provided.

If he was technical enough to follow such steps though, then he wouldn't be asking such questions.
Saying things like BOOT0/1 is identical across systems or that only PRODINFO is console specific is overkill, overly technical, and unnecessarily pedantic, on someone who is asking questions about flashing "his roommate's NAND backup" into his Switch.
