For SX PRO:
I ordered SX pro couple weeks ago and it is going to ship soon. Then I checked https://gbatemp.net/threads/switch-informations-by-serial-number.481215/ yesterday and realized my Switch is patched (confirmed 0X0000). So I guess the SX Pro won't work on my unit... Now I know TX is working on those patched units, but the new solution would be using another exploit(?) and the tools that come with the PRO version probably won't be compatible(?). Should I just sell the SX Pro to someone else then wait for a potential new product from TX?

For Atmosphere:
So Atmosphere is probably going to be released this month, but from what I read Deja Vu may not be released along with that... which means my patched unit would stay unhackable even with the release of Atmosphere?

Please correct me if I am wrong.

There is no guarantee that patched units will ever be supported, so if I were in your position I would move it on and seek out an unpatched unit so you can enjoy the good stuff without waiting

Yes, I haven't updated my console, still on 4.1.0. Now the questions is how long I will wait :(
It could be a week, it could be a month, it could be 5000 years. No one really knows, it'll probably be whenever Nintendo fully patches the exploit chain used for 4.1.0

You could also try to return it if that's possible and buy a different one

Just go legit for a while and enjoy online, probably weeks or months from now there would be payloads that could pass through those patched units. But if you're not willing to wait then might as well sell it or trade it for an older one.

I'm a latecomer when it comes to the Switch myself and, like leon8179, what I got was the patched version. Mine was apparently the Asian version which came from Singapore. As such, I'm also eagerly anticipating whatever exploit is made available for this device.

Damn, are the new switch patched units pretty common out there now? I wanted to get a backup unit in case something happens to my current one

I'm doing the same, haven't heard of any in Aus yet though. So will grab one this week to be safe

newly patched devices are common here in the netherlands. You will have trouble finding an older unit in the store.

Even in those stores noone thinks about in regards of electronics? Like some drugstores? Those were at least a sure bet back when we had to get 3DSes with the right firmware.

True you can find them there, maybe even the first batch of 2017 :D
