Hacking What’s going on w/ 11.8?

So I’m hearing so many mixed reports about 11.8. Stuff about how freeshop won’t work and that you need to get cias off sites then install using FBI. I’ve also heard that Nintendo is now going to be able to differentiate between legit and pirated versions of games. Can someone explain how this would affect a user who is on 11.7 and has not updated? (I’ve checked Pokémon Bank and I’ve been banned with an error code of 002-0102)

Not stuff installed that doesn't work, just the way they implemented how the Network Install Manager in 11.8 work if the Network Install Manager detects a fake ticket it reports an encrypted tickets list to Nintendo, and you get banned that way.

Console ban or NNID ban?

I think it depends on if the console has a NNID, if it has a NNID, it is NNID ban for anything linked to that NNID, having no NNID on the console they can only issue console ban.

Just use something Villain3DS or WiiUUSBhelper if you access to WiiUUSBhelper , you can use that to download some games.

My 3ds is also on 11.7, for now, it doesn't seem it affect 11.7 since the NIM change wasn't implemented in 11.7

Nope. I don’t mess around with that kind of stuff. I pretty much use CFW for freeshop and themes

Ok, last night I could. Played me a round of quite legit Mario Golf World Tour. I cfw'ed mainly for running MAME2000 (which isn't legit per se, but at least not stealing games from right under the nose of Nintendo).
