Of course, the emunand would be offline. At Nintendo eyes, you're not using your console.

Oh you mean by using emunand off line yeah sorry about that... but still when you go online on sys nand or normal im sure there sniff you out there getting smarter at ninty now look at what they did to 3ds secuirty lately

I don't know about anyone else, but I sure as shit am tired of this exact same thread being made over and over again.

Don't want a ban? Here's how: don't mod your switch. No homebrew, no CFW, nothing.

Doesnt hurt to talk about it you dont have to click on the thread dude if you already read them or are sick of them

I like to browse the new threads tab, and seeing endless nonsense about avoiding bans actually does cause me displeasure.

The only way to avoid a ban is to completely avoid hacks.
WRONG! Obviously there are two ways to not get banned. The other is never ever go online. Nintendo cannot ban you if you are never online.

Not for everyone, but this is my ban proof steps:

1.keep CFW switch offline
2.Buy another switch to play online
3.???
4.Profit

I remember reading that low-level logs still persist before and after nand flashing, am I mistaken?

Just to let you know i hacked flashed backed up restores my switch, sent it for a repair and even had my nand restored by nintendo repair they never mentioned modded hacks or nand but i did do my very first nand backup restore before sending

May i ask what your tl;dr procedure is for restoring the nand? Do you clear your logs? My switch has been running cfw for a while but i've never connected it to my wifi and i have a clean nand backup.

You just need to have an uncle at Nintendo to avoid a ban. Have them whitelist your IP so you can run backups while online. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Well my backup was the first time i got my switch to hack, Before i did absolutely anything to the switch I made a full backup...

To flash back i just restore that first dump, then i used update software to go from 5.0 to 5.1 then restarted and used maintenance mode to restore to factory defaults and wipe user data.

that was my steps any before i sent for repair

I dunno, maybe I'm just lucky, but I've been playing games online with friends while using Hekate and save editing like crazy for months. Just don't play pirated games or run layeredFS/SXOS. Hell, I've even edited the crap out of my Splatoon 2 save, maxed everything and cheated as much as humanly possible. I still play online with everyone. From my experience, Hekate by itself will not ban you. Just don't use it to do other stupid things.

Now I wish there was a way to play backups without a ban. I have 3 physical games that I'd like to put on my SD card, but even launching your own personal backups with their unique cert no one else has will ban you. So no go there.

This thread title is misleading. There is no confirmed method that is "ban-proof". If your intention is to just discuss options there is already a thread for this in the stickies.
