Hello guys, my HDD was acting strange, so i entered Safe mode and clicked on Option 5 (Rebuild Database).
After the console rebooted, all the game was gone.

I can still see in the storage that the games is taking up space, but when i click on the "program" it's empty, even though it says 240GB/1,77TB..

What can i do from here? Is everything gone?

if you did not back up the .dB before the rebuild(In the DNS of Al azif there is a option for backup) .. then you will have to reinstall everything from scratch ..

Awww i didn't backup anything :(

Well good thing is that i didn't install much on it. Is it okay to download the Recovery PUP 5.05 and use it with option 7 (Initalize PS4, Reinstall System Software)??
Becuase i'm downloading that file right now.
I just want to begin everything from scratch so i dont get that faulty thingy again :)

Don’t know about reinitializing, but the same thing happened to me. If you don’t have the .pkg files anymore, you can download them from he PS4 still via FTP (that’s what is using up all the space), then put them on a USB drive and install them again. Tedious, but worked fine for me.
All the games are in the users / apps folder in their respective CUSA folders. Just download the .pkg files, the others are not needed.

One quick question on this. Now I have lost my games multiple times with the same database rebuild issue. However, I have not had this happen to me once on my PS4 Pro. Is this just a regular PS4 issue?

Even after a panic attack once out 1000 boots, still no corrupted database on the pro.

No, it also affects the pro. You have just been lucky.

yep can concur i got hit once on my pro.
backup your app.db in future
it’ll save a potential world of hurt if you’ve got over a 1000 titles installed for example

This problem happened to me many times when I was using external HDD storage (the PS4 formatted HDD, I mean the official way, not the App2USB method).
I've noticed that since I removed my external PS4 storage, and started using only internal + exfat HDD with APP2USB, the issue no longer happened.
