Why has no one leaked tools that can be used to build retail encrypted NSPs? It's hugely important for the scene that we are able to do that. Otherwise we are stuck with whatever happens to be on the eShop, assuming that downloading from the eShop CDN even remains viable long term.
Maybe because it isn't being given out to devs?

1. Well that would be extremely illegal
2. You don't need that for homebrew, and piracy either

1. No one cares.
2. No one cares about homebrew. It is useful for backups (i.e. packaging cart only games into nice packages that can be launched directly through the home menu).

1. Potential to go to jail
2. Nope. Cart only game can be converted into nsp without needing encryption/Es patch, it is difficumt yes, but even if you use thqt, you'll still need a signature

1. lol.
2. You don't know what you are talking about. Please go away.

Ok I guess... What I meant is you do not need to encrypt nsp to make them installable with a cfw.
But yeah I think I was talking about something else.

Does any devmenu variant work on Reinx? I believe layeredFS is not supported but what about the .nsp installable one? or is that layeredFS based too?

Idk if you're still having problems, but the solution is to use devmenu.

Nope as I don't own what I'm trying to install

NSP varient can be loaded up in ReiNX but functions the exact same. The NSP version is more stable though

Even if you don't own what you're installing devmenu works provided you have the proper fs and es patches.

I installed sig patched atmosphere on my friends 4.1 last night. I just used tinfoil to install pokemon quest and then layered dev menu over it. Seems to give the best free option as of now
