We have not heard from TX for a while, but don't worry, they back with nice new update to their SX OS, check out v1.4 below:

SX OS v1.4 Announcement
Good day, loyal users!

While we chip away at many different features for SX OS and additions to our SX hardware family we took a break to prepare an update for SX OS with some exciting new functionality and outstanding bug fixes.

Let's have a look at what's new and fixed in this release:
  • Integrated NSP installer
With our last update we introduced the possibility of installing eShop NSP titles. However, this relied on using external tools and wasn't very user friendly. In this release we bring our own integrated NSP installer as part of our menu system. This is the neatest and easiest way of installing NSP titles, enjoy!
  • Integrated homebrew launcher
Launching homebrew used to be done by launching NX HBMenu by holding R when entering the album. While we kept this possibility (mostly for developers), you can now also launch your favorite homebrew directly from our own menu!
  • IR / motion plus issue fixed
A few games (like 1-2-Switch and Resident Evil) were suffering from freezes when enabling the joycon IR camera or motion controls.
  • Allow unsigned NCA
People asked us if we could get rid of the NCA integrity checks, so we did! Custom NCA files, modified NCA files and repackaged NCA files should all work fine now.
  • Display SX OS version in menu
To better distinguish the different versions of SX OS we introduced a small version number display in our menu.
  • LayeredFS fixes for 4.1.0
There were certain issues with 'LayeredFS' for people on firmware 4.1.0. If you use 'LayeredFS' on that specific firmware there's good news for you: these issues have been identified and fixed!
And that's that for this release. We have quite the backlog of feature requests and todo's on our plate, but trust we'll get there!

Can the nsp dlc files be used to run alongside an xci files so for instance I dumped a copy of my own Zelda cart can I then install the DLC nsp to run with it I tried this with devmenu and couldn't get it to work

Yessss, all I have been waiting for is the nsp installer.....and now that it has come I am to scared to test it in fear of a ban lol.....would rather avoid a ban until Nintendo paid online arrives

I know they used GPL licensed code, I even said they stole code. I just said that if they don't like it, then don't use it and if they want to bash all of the negatives and are so hell bent on giving credit where due... GIVE CREDIT to TX for what they DID do at least. Yes they have done bad, but also good as well. I hate those who are too simple minded to see both sides and justword vomit their one sided biased opinions while omitting certain things.

TBH, Who gives a flying fuck if TX stole code, Anyone who is using any loader or cfw or app to play games they stole off the internet is guilty of stealing copyrighted material. Much bigger offense than a bit of fanboy upsetting GPL violation!

If you dont like it then dont buy it no need to comment and cause drama, awesome update and its getting better with each version :D

I just found out that TX uses a time machine to steal code from the future, they are pretty advance.

Now all SXOS needs is a FTP, external hard drive support and a media player - all within the same menu.

ok guys, cut the sarcasm now

i know many people that says TX stole the code are just for making fun, but it's not fun anymore.
there is no reason to rise your post count this way.

Are loading times of games installed from nsp faster than just running the XCI files directly or is it just marginally faster?

Ive installed eShop games to system storage, and running XCI from a sd card and both appear about the same loading times, minimal to say the least, very happy with this update, not going to get into politics of code, ethics etc, just happy to install games and play :D

I hope the TX haters just leave the thread and create a thread of their own where they can bash salt at them.

Which I agree with.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

But they can still update and improve and maybe one day take on Hekate again (although quite unlikely).
I think most of the haters are sat figuring out how to pay for a new switch. After they downloaded the fake cracked SX os

Not this shit again. Mods what are you doing? I'm trying to read through, see what features and bugs the latest release has (for example claims that using homebrew straight after installing NSPs causes crashes(, and it's swamped by people making the same complaints against SX OS they did the previous 3 releases. I feel like an idiot writing even this.

And everyone else, what are you playing at? People have clearly made their mind up. Either they're disgusted with SX OS and aren't using it, or they don't care and use it anyway. People's minds aren't being changed at this point.

Can we at least get a separate thread for this shit? Grow up

We stopped, but you've started it again

What I've noticed when using the built in homebrew launcher on SX OS that it loads applications faster than the default homebrew launcher. By about 2-3 seconds from what I've seen.

I am going to try to get error 2144-0001 or 2345-0021 again to see if they really make SX OS stable or not. you can try to get too by changing games as fast as possible in docked mode (don't wait for the scan circle to finish).

Great work by TX in making things easier for those users who struggle to follow online guides.
The community will ALWAYS have my respect... But packaging, marketing and simplicity will always win.
RIP Mr Jobs - You made people expect things simple.

Why the native homebrew menu from tx doesn't find the NXShop?
Just use FreeShopNX it's an updated version of what you're using and it works on SX OS homebrew launcher

I got that error when loading certain nsps however it was quite rare and on SX OS 1.3

Oh and the nsps worked after a reinject of the payload.
