We have not heard from TX for a while, but don't worry, they back with nice new update to their SX OS, check out v1.4 below:

SX OS v1.4 Announcement
Good day, loyal users!

While we chip away at many different features for SX OS and additions to our SX hardware family we took a break to prepare an update for SX OS with some exciting new functionality and outstanding bug fixes.

Let's have a look at what's new and fixed in this release:
  • Integrated NSP installer
With our last update we introduced the possibility of installing eShop NSP titles. However, this relied on using external tools and wasn't very user friendly. In this release we bring our own integrated NSP installer as part of our menu system. This is the neatest and easiest way of installing NSP titles, enjoy!
  • Integrated homebrew launcher
Launching homebrew used to be done by launching NX HBMenu by holding R when entering the album. While we kept this possibility (mostly for developers), you can now also launch your favorite homebrew directly from our own menu!
  • IR / motion plus issue fixed
A few games (like 1-2-Switch and Resident Evil) were suffering from freezes when enabling the joycon IR camera or motion controls.
  • Allow unsigned NCA
People asked us if we could get rid of the NCA integrity checks, so we did! Custom NCA files, modified NCA files and repackaged NCA files should all work fine now.
  • Display SX OS version in menu
To better distinguish the different versions of SX OS we introduced a small version number display in our menu.
  • LayeredFS fixes for 4.1.0
There were certain issues with 'LayeredFS' for people on firmware 4.1.0. If you use 'LayeredFS' on that specific firmware there's good news for you: these issues have been identified and fixed!
And that's that for this release. We have quite the backlog of feature requests and todo's on our plate, but trust we'll get there!

LMAO this is the greatest meme. So the scene has been working on the fixed RSA key patches, TX adds it. Scene makes NSP installer, TX adds it, Scire makes patches to LayeredFS, TX adds it. I mean it's great that they are updating, but they don't even try to hide it.

You're a complete wanker mate.
TX are professionals and only advertise they're releases and updates when they're completed.
TX is the scene full stop. Homebrew and amateur coders and groups are always welcomed.

Everything the common (non techy) user needs, children proof compilation of tools that allows piracy.
Your children will install NSP and play Doom homebrew ? Or maybe create unsigned NCA. Lol
Nothing new for children, they just need a clean XCI loader.

Hmmm had to reformat a 128GB Smasung Evo other ones had no issues . Would get stuck on the new dash @ Scanning.

Without Reswitched, TX are nothing.
(And it's not bad)

Not completely working. DLC download still doesn't work and the UI could use a makeover.
Although there are websites for titlekeys like -snip- one for the switch doesn't exist yet. (well, it does, but the homebrew does not auto-update from that list, and there isn't a auto-updater homebrew yet.)

Download Bob gui 3.5 and hit auto update. Transfer cert, ticket. Open freeshopnx.txt and transfer new updated title keys to it. Save and transfer back to sd card in freeshopnx folder and overwrite.

Yes, an auto update title key feature on the switch would be nice. We are close.

Well, now I can just download the nsp from a sharing site, copy to the sd, click install.. If it was that easy before, i missed it completely.

just tried installing donkey kong, and it freeze in the first loading, i installed it with the update, downloaded it using cdnsp

also, the 1.4 still didn't fix the game big loading time in the xci version.

You can't link to web sites with the keys on them. The keys are Nintendo's property.

Still contemplating if i should get SX OS pro or go for free alternative like REI/Hekate etc. SX OS pro include the jig, seems to be easiest to setup and use, frequent update and most advance currently. but it seems it will become obsolete within few months and replace when free alternative comes out.

I'd get SX Pro just for the jig and donglehonestly.

This must be related to your microsd card speed ... the speed is good here
