SSD technically work as well, I have been using one as I that's what I had laying around (doesn't really speed anything up much... if at all, just letting you know if you have one laying around chances are it will work).

Your problem is that the usb loader detects the drive but not the games inside it? Or you can see the games on usb loader gx but cant launch them?

It was the second thing you said for me but it was the hard drive I was using , now it work fine,I just want to see my gamecube games through usb loader gx but they don't pop up

1. did you enabled Gamecube source ? (loader > top menu > 4th icon > enable gamecube if you want to list gamecube games)

2. verify your path and filename. Look at nintendont thread's first post to learn how and where to put the games on your device.

3. if still not working, provide information (path, filename, device, partition type, size, loader revision, etc.), we don't have a crystal ball.
You did something wrong, you just need to know what by re-checking all your setup. it's not complicated, you just have to look at your setup and compare against the setup guide in nintendont thread.

No, crystal ball is broken, I still don't know if :
you did it, and it fixed your problem
or
you did it, and you still have the same problem
or
that's what you did before posting about your problem
