Hi all

I installed the sx os 1.3. Everithing went fine untill i choose the option "AutoRCM enable".
Now every time i shootdown the switch, it does not boot anymore!
The only way to get it back to live is a tool "gbatemp.net/threads/tegrarcmgui-simple-gui-for-tegrarcmsmash.503510/" portable.

Is there no way to boot without PC?
I tryed the payload with the app for android, but the app did not recognize the switch.

Only the Win10 PC and tegrasmach can boot the switch. Szrange is, that i dont need a dongle or Recoverymod. The switch seams to be automaticli in RCM after shootdown? Because the tegrasmash recognize it automaticli without any actions on the switch.

Thanks for your support

That's literally what AutoRCM does. It forces the console into Recovery mode whenever it completely turns off. This is so you don't have to stick a jig into your Switch every time you want to boot into CFW.

I understand what you're asking, OP. If you shutdown from CFW or OFW the Switch will automatically start RCM mode. This will drain your battery completely. I assume you have an SX Pro dongle. The dongle won't work if the Switch is completely dead because the dongle doesn't supply the Switch with power. A PC USB port will work because it does supply power. However, if the Switch was totally dead it will just flash the low battery icon in the upper left and it will power off making you unable to boot into the OS. If you totally discharge the battery you can connect it to a charger (preferable the official one) for an hour or so. The Switch charges in RCM mode but it charges really, really slow. If you can't wait you could push the payload via PC and as soon as you see the SX splash screen disconnect from the PC and connect to the official charger. This should allow you to boot to the OS and charge normally.

If you want to actually power off the Switch you have two options. Shutdown normally and then push the SX loader payload while holding vol + to access the boot menu and select the power off option. Or power off normally and then hold the power button for 12 seconds.

@DocAmes1980 I dont think its that complicated. OP installed auto RCM and doesnt understand the purpose of it. Doesnt understand what RCM even is or why would he/she say that tegrasmash is the only thing that works.

This is an eduacation thing. Like @danny08 said, OP installed something with no knowledge of what it is or how it works.

The post is awkwardly written so it's difficult to understand where he is coming from. I thought what he meant when he said it doesn't boot is that it doesn't boot with the dongle. He references the dongle in his OP. Even if my interpretation of his cryptic posting is incorrect, it's good for him to know one of the major pitfalls he will run into.

is there any way to make the RCM only last for like 60s and than just boot normally if no payload was sent?

Flight mode makes no difference. The fuck are you talking about?

Edit: Do you mean your internet device was in flight mode so you didn't see the replies? Because having the Switch in flight mode has nothing to do with RCM or booting OFE/CFW.

If you want to boot without using a PC, you can either open up your Switch and install the M0 trinket or buy the SX Pro Dongle
Thank you Draxzelex! I will read first everything about MO. Thank you. I cant buy the dongle, because i habe alredy a licencekey for SX OS.

I am from Switzerland. Most of you dont even know where this is :)
I did everything like on this Video in YouTube "Nintendo Switch Team Xecuter SX Pro & OS CFW review and Install Guide + HomeBrew Menu"
I dont have a dongle only the SX OS.
Boot = start the Switch after complete shutdown.

PS: any one knows, why i cant load payload from Handy? this will solve my Problem.
Thank you all for your usefull replys! Greets from Switzerland.

Send it into Nintendo. They will be able to fix it for you.

try this its copy pasta from another thread I posted in but if you don't have the SX pro just plug in your USBC cable instead

Its kinda janky but plug in a micro usb cable while connected to a PC into the SX PRO
Plug the SX PRO into the switch and listen for a connected noise
hold Power + Volume up and listen for a disconnect sound
open up TegraRcmGUI and select hekate_ctcaer_3.2 as a payload
Hold power + volume up and listen for the connected noise
as soon as you hear it start spamming the inject payload button as it will show the switch in RCM mode for 2 seconds at most
if you get it to send the payload the switch should boot into hekate
if it does immediately plug in a normal charger
