When you press the album icon, does it go into the album, or are you getting an error message?
i got it fixed.. i didnt copy the atmosphere folder.. theres a file there that makes homebrew boot.. i just put my games there and i didnt include the atmosphere folder because i already have one.

So I fell victim to the Sys-FTPD corruption through SDFilesUpdater when going from 5.1 to 5.2 through the tool and well I didn't skim this thread or the changelog beforehand so I never saw the warnings about the SD file corruption (assuming it wasn't there on 5.1 already, if it was I just didn't read it)

And the problems started... in Hyrule Warriors (I didn't try anything else yet) the game "saves" but then I close out and exit, go right back in my saved data is gone and I'm back to the state I had before doing whatever I did (i.e. level a character, it goes back to whatever lower level it had before)

Oh boy so ominous! Surely I'm going to ask, what to do right? Well thank god I won't have to pester you with that. No I managed to get out of the loop and I'd just like to report status just in case anyone else falls into the same hole.

I've tried in this order:
  • Backing up all files then reformatting the SD card (deleted partitions with EaseUS Partition Manager then created a new ExFAT permission with windows formatter) and putting the files back but that is to no avail.
  • Run the fixer from the hekate payload ("all sd files" version) (returned "total archive bits cleared: 934) but to no avail
  • telling the system to remove the game data and getting it back afterwards - this was useless coz it is a cartridge game so it only had to re-download the update
  • Injecting an older save file from before this whole charade started. Wooh this worked!!

TL;DR: BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP. I was gods holy lucky enough that I shared some save files in another thread otherwise I'd be seriously screwed over too.

I use Hekate v3.2 with a 3D printed RCM JoyCon Jig and lause f-g through Windows Powershell

I am currently experiencing the same problem, but i never used or had the ftp module on my switch. Restoring backups, installing the game as an .nsp both dont work for trying to get my save to work.

I am having trouble launching the FTP module on my switch. I always get the error code 2002-6605 after the switch logo appears. It doesn't matter if I select FTP with CFW or LayerFS. My switch is on 3.0.0
Yes, this will be fixed with the next release
homebrew laucher dont boot when pressing album... please help.. im using latest hekate and sdfiles v5
firmware?
Also update to v5.2 - v5 is outdated
Corruption through FTP? What?
There is a warning, the Switch is very picky when it comes to your SD and that can cause corruption when used with certain homebrew + sys-ftpd

Yes - Create a backup if you're reading this

Well, installing .nsp doesn't have anything to do with it but what exactly is your problem when restoring some older backup?

I learned it was the edizon script for Hyrule warriors that corrupted the save file for me.
I've heard that from multiple people now. I'm going to remove it from the repository until it's fixed. I don't have Hyrule Warriors so I couldn't test it and the creator told me he did test it on multiple saves and didn't have any problems. Sorry about that then. I hope you've made a backup

Yikes! I am planning to code some homebrew (nothing serious) once the sys-ftpd bug is fixed. I am assuming that this effects homebrew that reads/writes to an sd card, right?

From what I have gathered it currently only affects SDFiles Updater, correct? @jakibaki
I can't say for certain, but that's the only way that I've ever experienced it, and nobody reported anything about other ways to trigger it.

I doubt that the SDFiles-updater is the only possible way to trigger this bug though.

Sys-ftpd and ftpd both crash the switch for me a few moments after connecting to wifi or accessing any wifi content.....not even transferring files on ftp. So, I've just stopped using them.

I'm pretty sure this has to do with files generated by SX OS (and some other corrupted files) - Have you used SX OS?

Not once have I used sx os....all new files from SD files *only*

-edit-

On 5.1.0 with legit exFat. Unmodified sdfiles 5.2, hekate 3.1 for payload. It just gives me an error code and tells me to reboot or hold power for 12 seconds.

Nothing else on the SD card.

Wondering if I'm risking a ban by using this to launch Check Point on my 5.1.0 Switch to restore a save from my 2.3.0 Switch
