Nothing sent the payload before hand? Was that cold boot?

Zander if that one video is not just a trinket inside like some poster showed a video of, it appears yes it is a cool boot exploit where we can retire our payload injectors and have it just be able to boot into cfw directly.

I don’t think it has been disclosed exactly which bug was reported, it is presumably one we don’t know about.

The silver lining is that this bug may be released once it is patched, but it would be a waste given F-G already exists.

Not exactly a waste, sure it would've been much better to save it for not just the ipatched versions but the new build entirely (codename mariko), but if it's a coolboot exploit as it appears to be (I mean since we had F-G no doubt people have been searching for something even better, a coolboot premium version exploit! ), that still gives us an untethered cfw instead of having to tether it every boot!

Now I didn't want to post until we have enough facts in to see whether these accusations are true or not... But I think that's what I needed to see... It seems shes dodging it directly like drax mentioned and submitting any bugs related to switch seems quite questionable and does implicate her! Submitting bugs whether she's calling the pixel c as a misdirection or whatever directly to a bug bounty program offering money, definitely looks like trying to snake the team and profit off of their hard work and yes betraying trust of knowledge she had that was meant to be kept secret until a later date when it was more relevant for releasing. It's possible even one of these companies reached out to here to be a mole and steal/disclose improperly the sensitive data that shouldn't have been disclosed yet!

So much for that responsible disclosure she was so adamant about with F-G... Whatever happened to that Kate?!!

Unknown. And it seems nVidia already knew about it (as would Nintendo), so it may be patched. It may not. We have no idea as the patched units are exceptionally rare for now still and I doubt they've been tested within the last three days since they showed up.

If you are referring to K (and me and everyone else should just use K going forward), K submitted an exploit for a bounty of 200k. Meaning K has not collected said bounty yet; only submitted it. Its up to the company that set the bounty on whether they believe K deserves the money or not. My money is on no after seeing this massive fallout but you never know.

Because if you say Kate, it implies she's a girl which might prompt someone to butt in and say "no, she's a dude". I'd rather avoid people discussing this here if possible. An acceptable substitute is Ktemkin.

If ReSwitched kicked her out, then it is legit. I really doubt that they would kick a valuable member such as ktemkin over a hunch. They had solid proof. Here's what i gathered from this thread:

• The exploit in question was NOT F-G. She discovered that one. The exploit in question was another bootrom vulnerability that could affect future console revisions.
• Anyone saying that "oh a decent person would not do that", "a person with integrity would not do that" stop with the bullshit. 200k would allow me to purchase a house to live in instead of paying rent. 200k would pay all my student loans. For her, 200k could be spent on hormonal treatment and plastic surgery because as you know, there "transactional" operations are quite expensive.
• 200k is serious money and if you say that if you were in her shoes that you wouldn't do the same in exchange of some internet bad fame, you are a liar.
• I'll repeat the solid proof part. This action was justified, i am sure that there's a shit ton of evidence backing SciresM's claim.
• Ironic as the talked against TX stealing code, yet she just did the exact "same" thing. Shameful.
• Looks like she will not receive the money, as she isn't the original discoverer of the new exploit. All of this will just fuck up her reputation in the end.
• (THIS PART IS RUMORED, TAKE IT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. COULD BE TRUE, COULD BE NOT!) The exploit is far "stronger" than F-G. "We have secured the info about this bootrom exploit and bogbooter will release soon. It will be similar to b9s in that it installs to the boot partition." We are talking about a full coldboot solution here. Likely new consoles will be fixed but the current generation of F-G vulnerable systems will be vulnerable to the new exploit. (IF TRUE! COULD BE BULLSHIT!)
• It is not the end of the world or the end of the hacking scene. One hole gets plugged, another one opens.

In the end, this is just sad. Shows how hypocrite people can be. I sure hope that @ktemkin doesn't get a single cent from this, and that she's shunned from this community until the end of time.
Kudos to @SciresM for handling this situation very nicely. Hopefully the work on Atmosphere can continue without too much of a hassle.
I'll stay here by my computer, with a brand new bucket of popcorn to enjoy.
