Yes, Sky3ds+ does exactly that. just copy and paste 3ds roms in memory card, put the memory card in sky3ds+ and it will work....

Easiest way is to follow the guide. Then install FreeShop. Set up the title key url. and download everything you want there. IT's like the Eshop. Installs to internal SD. No extra hardware or bullshit. No downloading roms. Just click and download...

it is but in all honesty there is no reason to spend 80 bucks on something that takes less than 1 hr to do for free . . . even someone with no prior knowledge can install cfw in 3 hrs tops and members like myself will answer questions you may have no matter how lame you think they are

Am I screwed if I've already updated my new 3DS XL to v11.8.0-41U? Any advice now and in the future would be greatly appreciated as I'm rather new to this. I'm wanting to get the R4i Gold to play NDS roms and install 3DS games to the console but not sure exactly where to start or what to do. Could use a very detailed step-by-step guide if anyone wants to point me in the right direction Again, it would be greatly appreciated

Have a look at https://3ds.guide/ntrboot, if you have any questions feel free to ask :)

So I read through this thread, and a few others and I was curious if my best option for a flash cart to solely play NDS games off of would be; https://www.nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=575
I was also curious if it was plug and play ready, just loading the roms I want to play onto an sd card and inserting it and then plugging it into my 3ds, or if there would be any special steps.
And I'd read some carts have an expiration date or something on them so they would stop working working after x amount of time, so I was curious if that cart site is one that's safe from that/if that model is safe from that?

Thanks in advance!

it is a plug and play card,

you just get a microSD card place the kernel files on the SD card
then you just copy the NDS files that you want to play, and throw it in your 3ds, and you are good to go

also the site you listed, is about as safe as you can get

they have been a sponsor of GBAtemp for many years and everyone will recommend them

their payment via paypal is sketchy looking, but follow their instructions fully, and you will get it
paypal has banned flashcard sales, thus they cannot use paypal checkout

Have to say I find the website of a major retailer really confusing... they totally fail to explain the differences in their R4 cards in a way that a new user can follow. I'm happy to install ntrboothax but some cards mention switches to flip between 3DS and DS modes.

http://3ds-flashcard.com/38-ntrboothax-flashcarts

Is there any practical difference between the $14.90 and $25.90 models? I'd appreciate some advice a bit beyond "buy this cos its what I bought and it works and I don't actually know the answer to the question" ;-)

Thanks guys(gals)

just buy this one, it has the switch for ntrboot,
but unlike the $10-15 ones it does not have a time bomb that expires Sept 2019

the switch they talk about NDS mode and 3DS Mode ( ntrboot only not for 3ds roms )
