Hi

My android device detects The switch in original firmware, but not when in rcm, that’s why I can’t inject The payload.

Anyone experiencing the same issue?

Is there a need to install some sort of drivers before?

For me it only worked the first time. After that never again. My Phone is Pixel XL and I used the original charging cable (usb c to usb c) with NXloader 0.3.

What phone do you've got?
Afaik kinda every smartphone nowadays supports OTG, maybe take a look into your settings my standard usb connection type was set to charging only, change it to data transfer.

I tried to change this setting but, once uncharged, the setting automatically comes back to charge mode.

Indeed my phone is quiet old but I have a custom android 7 inside it

@symish: Ok, then you should find out if the custom kernel you're using supports OTG and if not flash another one (search XDA maybe you'll find something) or also try a different rom?

Ok for now i will try a new adapter with otg, and then will check another rom. Thanks

Are your file transfer settings correct?

Tap on that, and make sure it's set to Transfer Files.

Works for me 100% of the time on my Galaxy S8+ with a straight USB C to C cable. I plug the cord into my phone first, then when plugged into my Switch it sends the payload right away.

I cant put this setting as the phone does not recognize the switch when im rcm

The only explanation has to be that your phone (or your cfw/custom kernel) doesn´t support OTG.
You can test if you´ve got otg functionality by simply plug in an usb stick into your adapter/phone, if it does recognize the stick you´ve got otg.

If it's Micro USB you will need an OTG adapter for sure.
yes it is actually

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I bought a USB A to USB C Adapter for OTG, the other part is still the micro usb

mine is a s7 edge, tested rekado and nxloader
samsung and sony original otg cable

only rekado works 2-3 times....most of times gives me "sending payload failed at offset 65536"

theres just a shit load of apps on the play store to check if your device has OTG driver installed (support for OTG), they are small apps that will tell you right away what you need to know, if it fails, its pointless as no matter what you would try, probably won't work.

If you have no OTG, you have to install the OTG driver in your android, I have never done it, but its probably not that hard and probably requires root.

I have zenfone 5 ze620KL
i have copy payload .bin microsd
Then i connect the phone with usb type c to type c cable..(brand remax)
There's a notification bar at the top screen and i choose data transfer
Then i open the sx tool app on my phone but nothing happen
