my windows came with an old fashion key that ive since used on two computers
Exactly. Two.

After that you have to jump through hoops to activate and then it doesn't always work. Used one license across multiple motherboards before Windows 10 allowed activation by account.

I thought the dongle could be used on any switch to load any payload? Or are people specifically talking about to load SX OS?

yes, the dongle can be used on multiple switch (but can activate SX OS only one one, after, you need to buy more SX OS license). They are talking about the SX OS license. Personally I have 2 switches, one for my kids, one for me (and my eldest daugher), and we have only one Pro. They just use the dongle when we power off (which is not often).

Well, those trying to crack it are leeching off of other people's created software.

If you want a completely free proper backup launcher, bloody make one!

Im somewhat hesistant to get SX OS License since they do have that brick code. Im an enduser but some people claim that there is a chanche for it to hit normal users under certain circumstances. -.-"

Ok he said it is possible to trigger because everything is prone to failure.

Your switch is prone to brick for no reason at all, with or without SX, because it's prone to failure like everything else.

It is possible that a small meteor fragment lands on someone's head for instance.

There are so many possible outcomes we could worry about.

I wouldn't worry about this one.

I wish people wouldn't worry so much...
