Nintendo: WHAT!? HE UPDATED A BACKUP!? SMITE HIM! But still let him update his backups.

:rofl2:

I think it might be related to how theyr online service works. It isnt centralized.

Update servers are treated as a priority service, like basic support to avoid further problems.

Then other layers of services are dependant on validations, witch these users dont pass, because they have been flagged... :gun:

Edit: Once an algorithm is in place to deal with this situation properly it should be instaban.

Well once my Pro comes in I’ll be testing this out I have two switch consoles now and am currently going to be only running SXOS and my personal made backups up to this point including making of my own backups I have yet to be banned I feel people aren’t using the 0.3 version of WAIN if they aren’t I don’t believe it copy’s certs

I was using Eshop on LayeredFS, and even booted two games Donkey Kong and Mario+Rabbids, but They're not connecting with online servers immediately like in Super Mario Odyssey. Not banned yet. I think most people who were banned and were using SX OS played SMO with wifi enabled. I didn't got any connection error from Nintendo and only used those games as donnors which were checked out as working. Maybe that's why I'm still standing :P

From what I observed in this thread, almost banned cases relate to LayeredFS. It's not about LayeredFS itself but crash logs (a lot).

Same here. And no one using LayeredFS is stating if they used it in SX OS or Hekate. I assume SX OS, but it would be nice if they would state that. Or just make their own LayeredFS thread to track it instead.

SX doesn't support LayeredFS yet if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah I'm banned too.
Updated Games on SX OS, got the same Message while playing DOOM.
I really don't care for Multiplayer, Updates still work though

If you got a similar message while playing a game I think u got the banned cert message. This message appears only in legit games and eshop. Please check the error code if it matches the images I posted.

Ok just checked and no ban here.
Here's what I've done:

Used: SX OS with no saved internet connection, updated backups in ofw only with a real catridge in the active slot.

Never used: layered fs in anyway, sx os online, Homebrew online, played backups online, or received a unique error code of any kind.

Of course I know I'm risking a ban evetually, but it looks like my precautions have saved me for now.

Yep, mine is banned. Used SX OS. Didn't play online but I did update the games. Can't access the eShop right now, gonna use eXhop to see if I can re-download Fast RMX

Got-banned-today user here, wasn't using SX OS. Everything I did that could be considered a ToS breach was done in Airplane mode with the access point physically turned off. Woke up to a 2124-4007.
My guess is HBL and LayeredFS crash logs being sent to Nintendo (despite having been turned off in System Settings).
Oh well, what you gonna do.

When you say LayeredFS, does that mean you've used it to play backups?

I'm on 4.0.1 and never booted anything besides SX OS always in airplane mode / no wifi settings.

Will not go online for the next 2 months I guess. I don't care that much for nintendo multiplayer but I'll try to stay away from a ban while I can.
