It didn't work for me. I have been trying all morning

The information here is no longer relevant. Between August 22 to 23 of 2018, Nintendo put the final nail to homebrew CDN downloaders.
In other words, freeShop, CIAngel, and Villain3DS are dead. Thank you for having used this tutorial before.

1. Delete the entire 3ds/freeshop folder. Also check if you have the 3ds/data/freeshop old folder. Delete that too.
2. Reinstall the freeshop.3dsx if you use Homebrew Launcher -or- reinstall the cia version. Current version is 4.1.3, found here.
3. Make sure your dspfirm.cdc is found in the 3ds folder. Use this if it's not there: DSP1
4. Launch freeshop and reinstall by QR scanning the cache from that title site. Here's a clue if it helps.
  • Due to changes in the 11.8.0-41 firmware, added security measure in the Nintendo CDN server, and "disappearance" of that title site, refer to these posts in finding and manually updating your title keys cache.
    • How to find that title site and see it again [ie, look for a certain sub reddit forum] -or- find the *.bin files at that iso site. Posts (A)
    • Here's a clue in how to edit your hosts file on computer.
      host_correction.png
    • Rename the encTitleKeys.bin to download.0.bin. Replace it in the 3ds/freeShop/keys folder.
      download_0_bin.png
    • Do not download in sleep mode on 11.8 firmware. Post (C)
    • List of games that are blocked from downloading. Posts (D) and (E)
5. Make sure the eShop background music is playing. There's a known bug if BGM does not work. You can read here in how to restore BGM if freeshop fails to repopulate them.

Hello!
Fellow noob here, sorry if I ask dumb questions, but I can't find a clear answer anywhere.
I installed Luma on 11.3, using Soundhax. My console forced the 11.6 update today, and the Soundhax has been patched between. Nothing seems broken, but I wanted to make sure if I'm not missing something serious and if I need to do something. to keep my CFW. And what are the consequences of this fix aside from not being able to use it in further 3DS flashes?
Moreover, concerning the 11.7, I assume it is safe to update for a casual installing/playing games as far as I read, so good news!

Im asking out of confusion, so i dont have cfw installed or luma, im not familiar with it so i dont touch these things. freakhax, still no confirmation on it work on 11.7, or it just updating the payload(which has been updated yet?
steeldiver is still working correct, without uploadin payload?

feakyhax should still work fine and the paylaods for 11.7 are now available http://smealum.github.io/3ds/ just scroll down to otherapp/ropbin payloads then type in your info and download otherapp

Tested out everything on both Scarlet (new3DS) and Goat (old3DS)
Luma3DS: Works, no patches broken
Rei-Six: Works, no patches broken
CakesFW: Works, no patches broken
Exploits like B9S, GM9, and Fastboot3ds will not be effected by an OFW update.

If i have Luma 3ds do i just update as normal and enjoy?
They only updated to be in compliance with the GDPR and that's it. They didn't touch anything (like the NATIVE_FIRM) that would have any negative effects on CFWs. So you are safe to update.
I also tested all current CFWs this morning

Uh-oh. Can someone else confirm whether Stickerhax is working?

I put my cartridge in my o3DS 11.6, ran sploit-installer-stickerhax, and specified New3DS 11.7.0.40 USA. Everything seemed to install with no problems.

I put the cart in my n3DS 11.7, started up Sticker Star, and selected the first save file. I got the "home menu ropbin is ready" message, but then a second later my 3DS crashed back to the Home menu with "an error has occurred" message.

This was working fine before with 11.6. I thought the payloads were updated already. Have the URLs for sploit_installer not been updated yet?

Is there any way to install CFW without a modchip, a flashcart, or somebody who already has a hacked 3DS?
Notice how I say "CFW and not "Homebrew Launcher". OOThax is out of the running because I want to put it on the home menu.

If you installed following https://3ds.hacks.guide/ you are golden.

Updates only affect people who are trying to get new homebrew access or those who rely purely on userland homebrew. Updates target entry points.
If you have B9S/A9LH you are unaffected by updates.

Bit of a newbie here.
I've been running Oot3dHax as my entry point since soundhax broke.
I've recently updated to 11.7 with my old3Ds and have updated the payload on my SD card, however, when I try to open the HBL I get as far as the robin loading text and then I crash back to the main menu. Is there a link or anything else I need up-date with OoThax in order to get back into the launcher?

What do you mean by "updated the payload on my SD card"? If I'm not mistaken, oot3dhax doesn't load the payload from the SD card – the only thing loaded from the SD card is boot.3dsx, which is the HBL. The payload is embedded in the hacked OoT3D save data, so you would have to re-install OoT3Dhax with sploit_installer – assuming sploit_installer is working correctly now.

That is, if I'm not mistaken..?

Oh, so it's in the save file. Guess I just need to wait until the Power Saves version of the save file to come up..

I followed the 3ds guide online about a week ago. I have Luma, FBI, God9, and FShop.

Can I just update through system settings to 11.7? Luma says I'm up to date. Is there anything else I need to do besides go into system settings and update?

Thanks in advance.

Is it safe to connect and update right from Nintendo if I have a9lh and godmode installed? Should I download the patch and install it with godmode?
