Hello !
Another useful thread from me, i've found a way to update your backups with the least ban risk !
How ?
Okay here are the steps:

1- Play the game for few moments
2- Leave the game and turn off your Nintendo Switch
3- Boot your Switch by loading the payload while pressing + and select OFW
4- Configure Internet and update your games from the menu by: + button then choose Update, THEN DON'T FORGET TO REMOVE THE INTERNET CONFIGURATION !!!!
5- After the update installed turn off again the switch and boot SX OS CFW
6- Enjoy your updated games without worring about getting banned ! :D

Give me your opinions about my method ! :)

That doesn't seem safe AT ALL. You're still sending ninty information about the pirated games.

Do we need to load the payload and launch OFW? What if i dont launch the payload? (Dont have my PRO yet so idk what would happen)

Still, we dont know what kind of information would the cart leave in the console. What if stuff like the header and unique cartridge information is registered on the Switch? That would be the same as having the fake game on.

Its functionally equivalent to just powering on the Switch. The option for launching OFW is in case you are using AutoRCM in which case you cannot normally turn on your console without sending a payload. And yes, the latter portion still makes it unsafe as we are not sure of what information the console logs during CFW and stores it within the console only to be sent the next time the Switch is connected online.

Before you connect to Nintendo's servers, you'll get an authorization for your certs. Doesn't matter how much you play legit or how quickly you close the internet connection. We're not sure how SX OS handles certs at this point, so I'd be wary to try this.

I'm not sure it's safe... because you still download the update with you account/console ID from Nintendo for a game that was'nt registered on their server..

Nevermind... I forget that you can have the cartbridge one inserted inside..

You don't even have to play the pirated game.
You can insert a cart and remove it. And as long as you have the game icon on the menu you can get all the updates. And you can do that offline.Looks pretty safe to me. Even though I do it on my CFW so you probably shouldnt listen to me.

Oh so that is if we have AutoRCM on, cause i see no reason in sending a payload if we are gonna enter OFW. Thats why i got confused with OP's steps. Thanks.

Nobody do this, this is the least safe method to ever update a pirated game. This is connecting to Nintendo's official servers with no added security on your end, no protecting the data of your console or game. This is a terrible idea. Anyone doing this should not be surprised when they receive a ban.

What?
The game is just saved as a cartridge and you can update it without problem because the information of the cartridge isn't registered
It's pretty safe

You think that Nintendo can determine if you once insert the game cartbridge or played it from XCI/NCA file while you was offline? I don't think, because when you will update the game you will be in OFW with a different game in cartbridge but they don't know if you really played this game while you was offline.

It's good to see smart people here...

you don't need to read them at the same moment you update them, you just need to generate the icon on the home menu which is done my emulating the card once on sx os.
Yup ;)
