We can call it a "paperclip assisted softmod" or "tethered tool asisted softmod" i think while is a lie it can help to people to see that is izy, after all we are not really modding the hardware of the console if we use a paperclip solution, is more like using external tools
We could make a commercial to broadcast it.

FADE IN: GUY is playing his SWITCH
NARRATOR: Hey, you!
GUY is shocked, looking everywhere for the source of the NARRATOR's voice
NARRATOR: Yeah, you! Do you like your Nintendo Switch game console?
GUY, clearly a dope, nods, making some sort of "durr hurr" sound
NARRATOR: Then you're going to want ATMOSPHERE. It's a custom firmware for Nintendo Switch that lets you run unsigned code!
GUY: But why would I want that? I like not having a browser, emulators, or save editing on my console!
SMASH CUT to a title card, narrated by NARRATOR with fx loudening and echoing the voice.
TITLE CARD says "SAID NO-ONE EVER!!!"
CUT TO a sizzle reel of various games running on Switch, a browser, a media player, etc. NARRATOR is talking normally again.
NARRATOR: If you're not hacking your Nintendo Switch, what's wrong with you? Anyone can do it, and it works on any console purchased before [insert Mariko release date here]!
GUY: B-but I can't mod my console! I don't know how to solder!
NARRATOR: Hey buddy, got-
SMASH CUT to a title card.
TITLE CARD says "A FUCKING PAPERCLIP?!"
SIMULTANEOUSLY NARRATOR yells the line with fx loudening and echoing the voice.
NARRATOR: A fucking paperclip?!
CUT TO someone putting together a paperclip jig, preferably pretty smoothly. NARRATOR is talking normally again.
NARRATOR: That's right. If you just bend a paperclip and connect your Switch to a computer, you can hack your Nintendo Switch to run any code programmers can write. Including Retroarch emulators, a functional web browser, a media player, and pi-
SUDDEN CUT TO Black. A screeching sound plays. Some sort of jostling sound or arguing from away from the microphone, muffled.
CUT TO the paperclip jig again, where we left off.
NARRATOR: And LEGAL BACKUPS. So get yourself a paperclip and unlock the power of your console today!
CUT TO a still image of GUY with his thumbs up and the HB Menu open on his SWITCH.
NARRATOR speaks very quickly.
NARRATOR: Links in the description for detailed tutorials, a USB C to A cable required for sending payloads to Switch, this advertisement isn't responsible for bricks, explosions or dismemberment created as a result of your inability to follow instructions, you or others' results may vary.
CUT TO BLACK.

-snip-

That was....something i would expect on a Deadpool movie. Or the Deadpool videogame! I like it!
But doing so would be like drawing a huuuuge target for Atmosphere and the devs.

Also, 100 pages!? I'm appalled! For how long will these people run in circles with the same questions, rather than waiting patiently for this (or TX SX) to come out?

Last edited by Geezerdorf,
I am tempted to preorder SX because it will allow piracy earlier and also come with a dongle that allow me to boot into RCM. I know they're supposed to be easy to make, but I tried bending a safety pin and never managed to make it work, so I gave up.

I am also hoping SX might somehow allow us to install Atmosphere more easily.

Those things are sold on ebay, they are called RCM Jig, the dongle is another thing, the dongle is a mini processor to inject the payload.

I can and will be the narrator

I can and will be the switch

I can and will be the TITLE CARD

i need people to be the paper clip!
We can't make the video until Atmosphere releases, plus a backup loader and a media player. Working Lakka or Retroarch are also necessary. We know these things are coming, just not yet. If you're serious about actually making this, I can make a Discord and we'll catch up when all that happens.
It'd be a cool project to work on. Perhaps even branch out into other tutorials/advertisements.

I'll make a thread in about a month or so when it's time. @Geezerdorf made a good point about it possibly creating issues for the team and Atmosphere itself, so if I get asked not to, I won't. Until then, I'll do some pre-production.

Looking forward to that, as i love the parody videos, @Darth Meteos .
And yeah, i know we shouldn't even be addressing that matter, but in this time and age, a lot of people (dreadfully) seems to take everything on the internet way too seriously for their own good. Parodies or otherwise.
Still gonna see and even promote the video for a laugh, tho :D

It seems Atmosphere will not be releasing on June 15th. Based on information from their discord they'll need a few breakthroughs to have it finished by this time next month. If you've held back from purchasing SX OS because you're waiting for Atmosphere I'd now recommend getting SX OS.
If I remember correctly, Atmosphere was annouced to be released at some point in summer (which technically speaking starts on June 21st), while Fusée Gelée was effectively expected to be out on June 15th. I don't have access do discord channels of reswitched server, but what I can see from the github projects there are other missing stuff to be considered for releasing to the public.
