I fail to see the reason for even naming a brand to begin with. SD stands for Secure Digital. It is a specification for accessing NAND flash based memory cards. eMMC is a close cousin, which stands for embedded multi-media card. SD evolved from MMC. Really, SD is just MMC, with some ecryption and locking stuff, (and in later versions, some additional IO modes, bigger LBA registers, etc) added.

Personally, since the eMMC module of the NX is basically just a naked passthrough breakout board, I would like to see a microSD to eMMC adapter for the NX. (Replaces the built-in eMMC module completely-- breaks out a microSD card slot instead.) Then I could put a 400gb module in if I really wanted to, using COTS parts, at the expense of being slower, and less durable (write life wise.)

Yeah, she didn’t contribute much, other than finding and releasing Fusée Gelée, the fundamental exploit that allowed developers to blow open the Switch.

Saying she didn’t contribute much downplays the fact that she is a big reason why the entire development scene exists right now.

Btw, fail0verflow had the exact same exploit. If she/he didn't discovered it, F0F would release it anyways.

Anyways, enough with the offtopic. I was actually hoping for Atmos to be released before SXOS to dissuade some possible SXOS/PRO buyers, but i don't think that it will happen...

Now, getting on the technical aspects, if I remember correctly, Ktemkin was developing a hypervisor meant to be a fundamental service for the Atmosphere CFW. Now that she left, I'm guessing if SciresM will continue such developing or not.

I believe her role was designing the Fusee launcher which will be much better than the Hekate launcher that everyone else has been using. But I suppose that task is now left to Scires and Tux

Looking forward to Atmosphere, I think it will end up being better than SXOS but will probably take awhile to catch up. Looking forward to getting my unit from TX but Open Source solutions are always the way to go.

Will atmosphere have full control of the hardware? i.e. joysticks, drivers, etc.

And can it be used to improve functionality booting/using linux?

In a few weeks, I will take a vacation. I have dug out my old PSP 1000 for the roadtrip. It's good to have options.

No, i meant that that was the reason given (by Kate) when the name was removed (by Kate).

Same here... I'm kinda forgetting I have a Switch right now... Last time I turned it on was a month ago or more, but barely played on it. Well at least is not worse than when I bought the 3DS and never used it for a year and something or more can't even remember when GW came out to literally say hey I think I have a 3DS
