I have a doubt about this, as it could be that it was launched the same day, it looks like an Exploit competition.

Leave a survey to know what you think about it. And they can debate why they are released on the same day.

What is this BS, Atmosphere does not even use Hekate as a bootloader, it will use its own "Fusee" bootloader. Hekate is just used as a quick fix to use the useful working custom sysmodules.

Now they both use the Fusee Gelee exploit as a entrypoint, but that is an entirely different thing.

Does Atmosphere load backups? Out of the loop

Not directly, but once layeredfs is implemented you could inject both exefs and romfs into an already installed title and then change the titleid in npdm to run a backup in place of a installed game.

Not a end user solution or a intended feature, but very exploitable.

I can't wrap my head around this inquiry and the poll made it even more inscrutable. Are they the same thing? How could that be when one isn't finished. I think there is a lot of misconception about a lot of things here. Why are people comparing them constantly. You guys know the clear difference. One cfw had clear goals set out, sx os has pretty much one goal then they already did it. Tx os or whatever will get atmosphere stuff if requested enough and it's pretty easy for tx to implement it.

You're just assuming SX uses fusée, there's quite some chance that the SX Pro comes with it's own proprietary bootloader.

That'd be pretty awesome if possible. But LayeredFS can't do that on 3DS can it? I've used it for testing romhacks, but that's about it.

He said that atmosphere uses fuse and sx uses the exploit at least. Which of course they do i don't think they have their own rcm exploit that's different than the USB pass thing.

No... Fusee the bootloader and Fusee Gelee the exploit are not the same thing....

I wouldn't be surprised, they've probably had their own version of the exploit way before FG was even a thing, just like F0F did.

Oh you're talking about CVE-2018-6242? Yeah they probably found it on their own, just like F0F found the vuln & exploited it way before reswitched did.

Not familiar enough with the 3DS to answer that, but even it it does there are far easier ways of loading / installing backups on the system.

It does work on Switch, but it is the hackiest way of doing it possible, so I don't see most end users who are asking for backup loaders being able to get it working manuelly.

The purpose of it is obviously mods though, so would not expect compatibility or stability to be great when exploiting this in a unintended way.

Sure we can use Nvidias name lol, yes that is what I am talking about. I am sure TX did as they had proof of concept vidoes up with a jig showing long before CVE-2018-6242 was """"leaked""" and consequently disclosed by Kate.
