I mean is it worth it to buy the sx os alone ?
Running payloads from pc / phone doesn’t really bother me
IF YOU JUST WANT TO ''be one of the first'' to pirate games then go ahead, actually the open CFW is the real thing, just wait until someone release it. Scires may against backup loader (cauz Nintendo's Layerbulldogs are very aggressive and bite hard), someone else will eventually take care it for him by creating a backup loader.

Or just wait someone cracks TX' dongle so it can run Cfw without it...

Keep in mind that all wild Switches are CRACKABLE.

Wait, you don't need the official dongle? Will TX give a tutorial for dongleless people?
They already did:

I guess instead of dongle you just use pc + tegrarcm tools

Totally worth it, especially now when retailers are jacking up prices of pro bundle due to demand. The OS is digital so supply is unlimited, hence the price has remained stable.

Something I noticed too... the only site that didn't look like it was made with a Spell N' Speak that I was considering buying it from suddenly jacked the already inflated price up by $10. TX said it would retail for approx $40 US which should be around $51.70 CDN. Try $85 CDN when you try to order it now.

I wish scientists would explore the invisible economic Stargate that exists on the Canadian border that suddenly makes things 600% more expensive under the false pretense of currency exchange. They all use currency exchange as an excuse to what is essentially robbery.

1) No clue when Atmosphere is out
2) Even when it's out we'll still need to wait until someone creates a backup loader

So yes, the SX OS is worth it. That's the problem with free open source. Nobody who develops it gains anything from the release so they'll take their sweet time. Unlike with Team Xecuter they are making a profit and have customers to deal with.

In my mind sx os is kinda worth it and kinda not worth it. Sx os is practically the new sleep mode hekate with back up loading built in. It has no basic cfw features like atmosphere which will have emunand, modding, cheats, and possibly even more. The only way sx os is worth it and the main reason I might get it is if atmosphere dosnt come out June 15th and instead comes out late July (which is what seems to be what will happen). That way I can have access to back up loading and possibly other features a few weeks before atmosphere comes out. Then ounce atmosphere and a back up loader come out for it I will switch over to atmosphere unless sx os has gotten better or equal to what atmosphere is. So really it's only worth it for people who very badly want back up loading as fast as possible...

SX-OS plans to add more features down the line, it's going to get improvements.
June 15th was confirmed not to be a release date for atmosphere, but for fusee gelee which got leaked early. It's still got a long way for development.

Is SX OS literally worth the price? Sure. It's far cheaper than most games. However, considering Atmosphere and an unofficially accompanying backup loader are up in the air with regard to a release date, it might not be worth pre-ordering SX OS, and it might be worth waiting until after the release of SX OS to see where things stand.

Personally, I have a 3.0.0 Switch and wouldn't use SX OS without emuNAND support.

Yes this is true but I doubt that they will be able to add all the features that atmosphere launches by the time it launches.

I'd be really surprised if sx os didn't add more cfw like features in the future. They just want to get the product launched most likely.

June 15 was originally intended to be the simultaneous release of both FG and Atmosphere.
