Does firmware 2.0.0-3.0.0 have working homebrew? I haven't been able to find any as most of the recent stuff is for 5.0.2. And I'm sure people have asked this question thousands of times ( so I am sorry ) but should I stay on 2.0.0 or wait for Atmosphere. My concern is that most people seem to be updating, will it matter at Atmosphere launch for me. I want to be able to have coldbooting. Thank you in advance!

If you don't mind buying a "jig" most hacks should work at the newest firmware (which is now 5.1.0)
Yea, I have a jig from eBay, but am looking forward to coldboot when Atmosphere is released but it won't really matter if emulation isn't supported by 2.0.0. Or is it already?

Well, every fw can get homebrew launcher, but idk how are libraries updated.
So it works, but you have to test which works.

Well I've noticed on recent posts that certain Retroarch will work for fw 5.0x and 3.0.0 but not 4.0.0 and I've yet to see anyone talk about 2.0.0 working emulators, just curious to know if there will be knowledgeable people working on emulators for this 2.0.0 fw or if I should update

If you update, stay at 3.0.0

Don't update console on 4.1.0 and under. Those will get software solution. Consoles on 3.0.2 and under might even get coldboot. Atmosphere will let you use the latest fw (on EmuMAND), so update is not really worth if you can wait.

Thank you. This is the answer I've been waiting for. Coldbooting is something I want right off the bat.

Disclaimer: It might never happen tho. Those FWs just have the possibility to get one...
Well we have autorcm, so that's close enough. I'm sure someone will figure it out. Hey since I have you here, should I upgrade to 3.0.0 or is 2.0.0 ok? Another user linked an Atmosphere thing that says to do so

It has been stated that no CooldBoot will be available as soon as a release is provided, since Scires wont do it.

3.0.0 introduced some new stuff (idk what), so I wouldn't do it (probably not helpful :D ). But it is probably ok.

Basically the lower FW you can be on the more options later down the line u will have. You can't go back once you've updated but u can always update. If you are still on A low Firmware i'd stay if I was u but some people would argue against it. Which I won't. I'd stay low if you've come this far.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll definitely wait it out, if there is a chance for a coldbooting solution, lower firmware seems to be the way to go
