Ikaruga for Nintendo Switch launch trailer

Nicalis has brought the classic top-down arcade style shooter Ikaruga to the Nintendo Switch, today. The game is now on the eShop, for $14.99, and offers two ways to play and three difficulty settings. This is the second time the game finds itself on Nintendo hardware, originally being ported from the Dreamcast onto the GameCube in 2003, and 15 years later on the Switch.

Time to relive bullet hell! Been itching for a game like this since the old Touhou games.
Keep in mind Ikaruga plays very different from something like Touhou. It's very focused on just using the correct color at the correct time to get through patterns, not as much precise dodging. I think there isn't even a way to focus/slow move. It's a great game though, just don't go in expecting it to play the same.

I failed to mention that I've played Ikaruga on Gamecube before.

The music makes this game 10 times more epic.
I will wait for the inevitable and absolutely awesome Nicalis physical release.

I think they confirmed that there is.

Steam has a Free Play option which gives you infinite continues.
Wow I should revisit this game. I ended up watching a let's play and thought to myself, no way I could survive this game if I keep dying and restart the lefel from beginning
