They were first, they didn't have the need - they did it anyway. (Especially talking about the DRM thing.)

The majority of their potential customers are only buying their product to pirate games so they don't have to pay for them.

The majority of their potential customers would pirate SX OS if they could.

It would seem you're just upset because they did something logical. I get the impression you want to pirate SX OS and you're upset that you'll have to wait for someone to crack it first.

Yep, I read it literally like a minute after posting . Its on other thread that TX supports Fat32, EX-fat and game splitting...

Forgive me if this sounds naive, but after reading this thread I noticed that many people mentioned that upgrading Switch fw allows for exFAT support. Does the switch not have a proprietary FS like the Wii U? I would have assumed this to be the case but if so would that not mean you could store legit purchases along with homebrew and backups on the SD?

It does seem that it does not use a proprietary FS - which dispels my biggest concern that I would not be able to store my future purchases while at the same time storing homebrew

This is true but a 3DS and flashcarts aren’t a very good example, since a flashcart is one of the most useful tools to have. Also, CFW is not free on the latest firmwares. I get what you mean but you could have used a better analogy.

3DS flashcarts IIRC were the first easy way to load CFW which is why 3DS flashcarts (at least gateway) is a good analogy.

Early on this will seem like a prime candidate that will last but if you wait, you will get the same results as TX's solution a few weeks or months after TX releases, maybe even something better.

To each their own honestly, if you want to buy it now, go for it, I understand that backups and piracy are "important" for some people, but I feel that people need to understand that regardless of if they buy TX's solution or not, backups/piracy is going to happen on the switch without TX's solution here soon it's just a matter of time.

I guess my point is, buy TX's solution to get backups now, or save money and wait a bit longer and get backups anyway. 50 bucks isn't a lot but its still 50 bucks that you could have later or spend on something else.

no, you require the horizon update to use exfat

try using this tool.

thanks for the tool i used a program i found online to convert but it didnt do anything. this actually worked thank youu

UPDATE 2: Actually this tool won't cut it. No pun intended. A trimmed rom won't be enough to bring an 8GB file to less than 4GB.

Lol. I have a very strong Try before you Buy policy. I first played Skyrim through piracy. Now I own a PS3, PS4, PSVR, Steam and Switch versions of it. Most of us willing to shell out $350 for a console have the money to support good developers to make sure the next Elder Scrolls game is Next Level. Lol

The only real con is it’s possible to get banned from Nintendo if they can somehow detect sx os but who knows...
