Got it off Ebay for just £3.50. I figured the keyring would make it easier to store.

Also things like this is where I can see those little 3D printer things you get can be pretty lucrative. People are making a small fortune off these things.

Ive ordered 2 of these, awaiting arrival. How do they work, is the insertion smooth?

If i do the soldering (bridge) will the joycon work as usuall without the power +volume combo?
Can I still use it on ofw with no issue?
well i only used a dead joy-con i immediately swap it with a working one once i load the payload, i did fuck it up and did 3 pins.......fixed it with flux did a test and RCM was achieved lol

Sacrificed an old micro USB cord. Jig worked first time I tested which felt good after all the time spent pruning the USB connector down to size.

Correct, the bridge is just to enable the RCM if and only if you boot the console holding power + Volume UP

Otherwise it would just workas normal joycon

So yes it will work ;-)

You slide it down the rail like you would a joycon, and the pins are kept securely in place as a result.

Don't know if this is common for all jigs, but it is a really good design. The Keyring is great too, particularly if you have a carry case or something to clip it to.

I simply bought a replacement joy con rail and connected pins 1 & 10. No Modification of the actual joy cons needed, zero risk of damaging the pins of the switch (since they mate with the actually intended rail) and it can be stored away nicely in some pouch.

I have bought a replacement joy con rail too, but now I'm wondering if should I solder a wire in pins 1 and 10 or should solder 9 and 10. I've seen many with pins 9 and 10 soldered and they say it works perfectly, but I also read some saying anyone shouldn't use pin 9 (because it's not a real ground, or something like that).

So, what u guys think?
