I was gonna say Hello Kitty Kruisers DX as a joke but then I found out they actually did port it over to the switch already lol

I wouldn't mind Tokyo Mirage. But the others? Nah, if we get a Mario Maker, it will probably be a Mario Maker Plus or even a 2. Would be nice if you could make Super Mario Bros 2 levels

Super Mario Maker Deluxe..

Of all the Wii U games? This is what I'd like most. Does the Metroid Prime Trilogy count? :x
it would make sence so people get to play 1-3 before 4 releases, and being on switch we could actualy get a noone motion controller option for metroid prime 3 wich i would love since i hate motion controls.

Probably the whole wii u library since people loves to buy ports.
More like nobody knew what a WiiU was when it was still in production, and they still don't know what it is today. I'd bet the majority of Switch owners think these are brand new games whenever a trailer drops.

Wii u sold 13 million units, so of all switch sales, 13 million units could be very well from already wii u owners, so, they could know very well what a wii u game is, but people loves to buy the same game over and over again at full price...

While I would love a Tokyo Mirage Sessions X FE port being one of the only two games I turn my Wii U still on for (XCX being the other), I doubt it's gonna happen. The game didn't sell too well so I don't think Nintendo will bother porting it over.

I think Super Mario Maker and Metroid Prime Trilogy are the most likely. SMM because it was a smash hit and Mario is Nintendo's mascot so it kind of seems like a no-brainer.

Metroid Prime Trilogy for a few reasons:
  • Metroid Prime 4 is coming. Remastering the earlier games in a series has been a growing trend in recent years in order to bring people in. (Or so fans of the series can have all the games on the same modern console.) Look at Shenmue I + II, being released leading up to Shenmue III. Bayonetta 1 & 2 were ported to Switch along with an announcement that 3 is on its way.
  • They have already been ported to Wii U. This means Nintendo cares enough to port them, and maybe because it's been ported once it will be even easier the second time? That last part is speculation, but it seems plausible.
  • The Metroid Prime games were touted as extremely well-received in their time (especially the 1st one.) That makes them a prime candidate for a remaster, as well-received games sell better. (And typically age better, too.)
There are a few other Wii U games that could be potential candidates based on their quality and reception, but I feel that they are largely superseded by sequels rather than needing a remaster of the old one. Splatoon 2 is presumably superior to the first one (I haven't played it) and is already released, so there is no reason to remaster the original. Smash Bros. is obviously getting a new game for the Switch. Super Mario 3D World was a stellar game, and it would certainly be just as good on Switch... But it might struggle to differentiate itself from Super Mario Odyssey, which has been praised even more. "Why do we need an old 3D Mario game when we have a new 3D Mario game?"

hmm metroid prime trilogy was not ported to the wiiu lol, they were just normal wii games that were on wiiu shop and since wiiu had wii hardware and reads wii discs and does everything a wii can, they runned on wii mode so even tough they were in wiiu e shop they were still the same exact 100% wii game with only 480p resolution, it was no diferent from putting your own disc of metroid prime trilogy on the wiiu and play it since it had no benefics and still runned on wii mode still.

I'd be very happy with a Metroid Prime Trilogy port too. I've been meaning to get to play through them, now I've got through most of the 2D Metroids, and especially before playing Prime 4, and it'd be more convenient for me to play them on Switch than Wii U.

You're right; I misspoke. I actually meant they were ported to the Wii from Gamecube - I wasn't even thinking about the digital Wii U version.

The one thing that makes me think that it won't get a Switch port is that it already has a re-release, and I can't think of many games that get remixed/remastered more than once.

That being said, a true HD remaster would be excellent. I'm hoping they make it happen.

I would love to play new super mario bros u, ported to switch. Mario has never lost its 2d charm, and the wiiu version is great.
