Then just do it like I said, try removing a bit the scratches on the screen and polish, or just polish and forget it and buy the rubber protection which is pretty cheap and just play on it...

BUT DONT FORGET TO OPEN IT, CLEAN IT AND ADD NEW THERMAL PASTE as you might kill the Switch board which might be pretty good, I'm sure that will heat up a lot more, so before using clean it and just forget about spending money on a new case and put it like new for now...

I think he posted elsewhere he is really going to put it like new. At least I think I have seen a post on other thread where he ordered a full new case.

But yeah, how's that poor little Switch project of yours going?

got a back and front shell as well as a touchscreen and 2 joycon replacements and metal brackets as well, add to that 2 analog sticks.

prices as follows

touch screen: 5-6 dollars
2x analog: 6-7 dollars
2x joycon shells without buttons: 4 dollars
front and back shell: 5 dollars
kickstand: 5 dollars
metal bracket with screwdriver set : 4 dollars

total around 35-40 with customs and shipping
if that goes well then i refurbed the whole SOB for Dirt Cheap

:D
will start digging in to it in the next couple of days, but its missing alot of screws from top and bottom, but when i opened the console its clean as hell but thermal paste was stiff.
closed it back till i manage to get my hands on hot air to replace the touch screen as well.
will keep you guys posted.

heck i found a white touchscreen as well that matches a full white shell and we got the first white switch on earth :D
but i went with the black to cut on the repair costs

Nice, I prefer all black anyway.

I recommend a good thermal compound on it too.

I thought the interior would be more dirty from the photos lol the air vents were completely brown if I remember well...

About the heat gun, if you're mom, girlfriend, sister has a powerful hair dryer you can try with it and see if it works. My Sony Xperia Z2 waterproof phone was easy to open with my mom's powerful hair dryer.

You should also put tape on the speakers holes, some phones get distorted speakers just for using the hair dryer high airflow blasting in them like most people that drop on water usually use the hair dryer which doesn't fix anything but dries water fast :).

Looks pretty good inside, it's just screaming for a good thermal paste to even work better than when it came from factory :)...

Can't wait for CFW to arrive so it give me the excuse to open my Switch and fully mod it :)...

I have a huge syring of Artic MX-4 to open and even though it's enough for a lot of computers, I'm thinking to waste it all on my Switch and just put a huge amount of it all over the copper pipe from side-to-side :P.

I also need to buy a permanent thermal glue compound for a custom CNC cooler on my laptop and hell I would glue a piece of copper on every big chip inside the Switch, I'm that crazy lol. Same way I put memory coolers on every chip inside my falcon 360 and added 2 more fans and a custom plastic tunnel for maximum air pressure on the small GPU cooler.

My 360 is still alive and around 30C° cooler than my friends falcons at 60% fan speed Vs their jumbo jet loud fans at 80 to 100%. Overkill but it's still alive with thousands of hours while most of my friends falcons just ROD.

Yeah plz report if the touch is as good as the original it's good to save the seller info in case later shit happens I know at least this cheap one would work instead of buying from other seller and then get a non responsive or locking crap touch screen...

i paid 7 dollars for a pair of new oem analogs and 4 dollars for shells and 3 for latches

14 dollars and got myself brand new joycons.
Ask nintendo how much to repair it
mostly they will tell you un repairble and recycle it :D
Looking happy & healthy.
ya i really felt happy when i finished the joy cons, even the blue/red shoulder buttons with the grey makes it look cool.

my next big thing is the console im gonna revive that bad boy and maybe try xecuter os on it, and wait for my other 1.0 for atmosphere
