Hacking Question Switching and cards

So I searched around looking for my answer and couldn’t find it.(sorry if I missed it) I had bought a 128gb sad card from the amazon sale, and I was wondering if it’s possible to copy the content of my current sd card, and just move it to the new sd card. I have games downloaded on my current sd card from the Eshop and I’m on 3.0 so I’d like to keep them

Yep, it works just fine. I was able to transfer my downloaded games from my 8GB mSD card to my 128GB just fine. Thankfully saves are store internally on the Switch, I was worried about losing them.

No problem.

It shouldn't make a difference but I have heard that you'll need to format the 128GB SD card as FAT32 as well if you don't have the SDXC update.

If you've never put a 64GB card or higher in the Switch you won't have triggered the update. Bear in mind that to get the update you will also need to go to the latest FW.
