I mentioned it previously (and now that I am past noobie stage, and can post links), but
THESE THINGS are
totally hackable, and can run OpenWRT. The only downside is USB-A plug, instead of USB-C plug.
Since the injector can run on linux, it can run on this plug. The plug is powered by the port it connects to, and yes-- that USB port actually does work. (It also has dual Wifi PHYs, and some other goodies like a microSD card slot.
This thing can almost overnight do the exact same injection trick as the eXecutor dongle. In fact, it would be more configurable than their dongle, as it is a whole SoC that is user programmable (after you put the OpenWRT firmware on).
The question I have--- Does RCM mode work while in the dock? If so, just plug this bad boy into the USB-A port in the back of the dock and leave it there.
