Cant just someone create a dongle that you can put any payload on, for example atmosphere. I can pay way more for that instead of using tx dongle which is speculated to be locked to their own payload

you guys are pretty stupid for supporting ANYTHING TX does. Trust me, Atmosphere will be leagues better, free, and meanwhile you'll all be over here spending 30$ just so you can say you "owned" ReSwitched for having basic human morals.
Lol. Such hate.

Can we go back on the subject of the dongle? My bet it's just a simple programmable processor inside that runs the payload. I mean, I don't see any harm in it at the moment. But I would be surprised if it's expensive, since it's a pretty tiny thing.
so you think its just way more then a usb type C drive then?

They banned someone for saying "Reeeeeeeeee", so no surprise there.

On topic, if their "hack" emulates a cartridge, could that somehow avoid Switch bans when it comes to online? Or, are people doomed when it comes to online and hax? :P

It's not emulating the cart, it's redirecting the file systems to the SD card while the system thinks it's hitting the cart. Far as I am aware no one has suddenly defeated the cart crypto. You're still going to have to dance around the cart's identifiers and headers for a given game.

There's probably a reason the demo is in airplane mode.

A raspberry zero might be able to do it. But I'm not sure.

No console in history has ever "died" due to piracy, the level of know-how required and the hassle involved deters the majority of customers. In fact, piracy is in single-digit territory in terms of the customer base, and this includes consoles that could be modded with nothing more than an SD card like the Wii.

As for the chip device, good. People come for the piracy and stay for the homebrew at an astonishing rate, I personally only learned C because I bought a flashcart for my DS and everything was plug and play - if not for Team Acekard I wouldn't learn how to code until my university days. Knowing C gave me a huge advantage over other students, I even nailed the professor to the wall once when he suggested using a stupid loop.
Stop talking sense on the internet, have you no shame! There's a time and a place for rational thinking, the internet's not the place.

Yes, since something must inject the code right? RCM needs info given to it right?
Yep I think your right. also in the video on the right side there looks to be a switch on that usb type c drive they are using anyway. I think my pi zero with a case will come in handy for something like this.

Ahhh, makes sense. Do each individual Nintendo Switch game have their own keys? Like would 2 Breath of the Wild game carts have two different keys?

"elitist" because they don't support discussing a tool that could DESTROY the scene....

It won't in any way damage the scene. Stop being a lemming and a puppet just repeating what you're told.

The only thing currently doing damage to the switch scene is Reswitched and their drama mongering. No amount of accomplishment can or will wipe clean the damage they and those like them have done to this scene by bringing so much pointless politics and drama into it.

Exactly, that's probably something in those lines it's using. But a FPGA or something in those lines.

How are they "drama mongering" lmfao

Tell that to the Wii U and 3DS. There's zero need for title installation to be built into the CFW, leave that to external apps a la WUP Installer or FBI.
Yes - but the CFW supports those apps, that's the point. FBI or something similar was available very early on, and WUP installer came BEFORE CFW.
