Imho, could be not so diffucult to dump over their payload and reply it by the common approaches we experienced so far (pc host or android). I won't be surprised seeing such a "hack" to a hack team XD
The solely sadness is due to the piracy they promote with the mod.

What is real time game switching? Not sure I understand

The device appears to work similarly to devices of the past, in that it emulates a game cartridge being inserted, but in reality is loading files off a microSD. As such it can only load one game at a time, the same way you can only insert one game cartridge to your system at a time.

Real time game switching means you can press a button to switch which game is being loaded as the "cartridge", so even though you can only load one game at a time you can switch between all the games on the microSD freely.

Even then its not really a feature to advertise about this, since all the games it loads are installed on the system and not on a cartridge.

All CFW on consoles that allow piracy do Real Time Switching

I mean its a default feature of most modern consoles on any games you have installed.

If it was the case of a cartridge that allowed RTM then that would be different.
In this case its already a console feature

Publishers have the money, and they hire the programmers. Without publishers having interest in the market, there's no money for A+++ games, or jobs for programmers. But I mentioned it earlier, I just hope this will make game prices to drop. I still can't believe the price gap in Switch-Other platform games:

A dongle and the jig. How convoluted does it has to be to get some homebrew going on? I want to turn on my Switch and boot directy into custom firmware, please - without detaching joycon, attaching all kinds of devices. Come on.

Eventually it will most likely happen, but these things always have a teleological process leading towards that cold boot sweet spot. We are barely a year in! We are lucky we have anything at all let alone backup loading and CFW.

There were not too many alternatives. PSX sold a lot because it was able to be pirated and people preferred to N64. PS2 had the Dreamcast... Which lost the interest of the industry.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. The team working on atmosphere are grafting away for the good of the scene with no profits in mind. I have bought team xecuter products in the past for my original xbox & the 360 r-jtag with the demon dual nand. Those were at a time when there were no other solutions for getting homebrew to work. We now have the rcm exploit & CFW landing when it's ready. It does'nt sit right to line the pockets of TX when another solution is possible. The devs should just release backup loading to stop TX profiting from piracy.
