It's possible the soldered part refers only to entering RCM mode without a jig.

I hope not, I really want a memory chip built-in or a M-SD adapter so I can have a fast M-SD always there foir emunand and then use Switch M-SD port to keep changing SDs with different games, but keeping all data on the memory chip\M-SD

Else I think it will be kinda pointless since someday most likely everyone will have CFW without needing RCM anymore rendering a solder version of that unusable 4 anything and we would just de-solder it and throw in the garbage...

I am sure people are going to crack the hell out of that device and within a few weeks of releasing it you can get a cheaper DIY build for a few bucks. it is not the old TB PS3 days where nobody had the exploit they had (bought?). they are clearly running the same RCM exploit everybody else does. they just have the CFW part done faster than SciresM, but I guess that will change until mid of june. I doubt they will release before.

A decent group would release the payload for free for tethered users, and sell the USB-C dongle purely as a convenient alternative. But no, Team Xecuter is simply in it for the cash.
