What size usb will you need?
I'd recommend 8 GB but 4 GB might be enough.

Lol, no probs, thanks tho! Was pretty hard because I had to change repositories and set xorg to not boot at startHey, congrats on getting XFCE working! (Late to the party, I've been busy IRL.)
No probs , i'll see when i'll be capable of writing the tutorial (goddamn school grr)I'm just gonna wait for a tutorial. Thanks for your hard work, @Loller06!
no probs , actually if you can please leave feedback, i would really like to know how my work is!
@Loller06: Let's chat about a tutorial, maybe we should integrate it right onto the official Gitlab page? PM me.
Here's the feedback. I booted it up today and my eyes were wide open after I entered "startx". It took a bit to boot up but was working very nice from there ... at least from a functional point of view. Technically everything's pretty slow as you said. Also it's pointless without WiFi (I don't have a LAN adapter) and I wasn't able to figure out how to use Bluetooth tethering but as a proof of concept it's just pretty cool.
Unfortunately the only pre installed game (Chromium B.S.U.) did not run. I guess it would have lagged badly nevertheless lol.
All in all good work!

Good link. As written there WINE won't work on Wii U's PPC but QEMU might help. You may want to look at this: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1382096
You're the man! Keep trying things!LXQt working! It seems equals to xfce4 as speed so not that much of changes, but still a nice UI! I would like to try Android as there is a PPC build owo
Yeah I know, there aren't gpu drivers so any graphic thing is very slow, but my will was to find the desktop environment that would take the least resourcesre: slow GUIs, any GUI will be quite slow right now, as we have no GPU acceleration. All we've got is a framebuffer, and that's likely to end up in the Wii U's slow RAM instead of the fast RAM that framebuffers are normally put in with CafeOS-based homebrew.

Today I should have some free time so expect a tutorial, I'll just PM @CompuCat when I'll be readyguy thanks to your tests please... try do a script or a step-step how to install the desktop environments without autostart the X.org server
i know that will became slow too but see gnome3, enlightment, mate, kde, openbox running on wiiu will be very cool xD
Glad you actually liked it! If you have any suggestion tell me!Epic! Thanks for your time and work!
