I am just wondering can we use dock and RCM jigs simultaneously, so we dont need to buy usb c cables. I mean on dock there is an usb a input, cant we use this with fusee gelee?

2 week after edit: I tried it but no luck guys..

MISSION FAILED

I think it would need the power usb to be used if it is even possible in Dock. Though that one is usb-c as well. Hence you would still need the usb-c to usb-a cable or usb-c to usb-c when using android on the go

No, is the simple answer.
We would need some kind of homebrew already running for it to work, as the dock wont naturally allow this.
If you have a spare usb A to A cable, you can try it out.

I am thinking why it wont work? Dock's usb a input should work same as switch's usb c input, maybe..?

The dock is only designed to be used to output a small amount of power and take in controller inputs through its USBs.
Its likely Nintendo would have added some kind of protection. You can always give it a try though.

Its really not worth it though.

I will try when I find that cable, tho..

I found a USB A to C cable for £2.59 (convert that to your currency via google)
You might as well buy a cable.
Thx but piracy is piracy :rofl2:

I will try it with buying anything :D

I'd say just wait until the full release of Atmosphere is done.
I was thinking exact same idea until I found this trick (still didnt tried lol)

I meant using the usb-c to usb-a instead of the power adapter, but that would make the dock useless.
I use the cable that came with the charged joy-con grip which is a usb-c to usb-a cable.

I got too lazy to read everything, but I read most of this thread I guess so.... first I haven’t seen anyone even the major devs/ “heavy hitters” on utube posting or showing anything with a switch in dock mode booting into RCM or using FG in dock mode or getting into Linux while in dock mode, but if I were you and you don’t want to spend money yet and you have an android phone you could hypothetically plug your android phone into the dock while in RCM to get payloads and such working, but then again I don’t think the stuff by devs were written to work in that exact way and I haven’t come across anyone using this method and I also haven’t tried it myself.
