Is there a reason why a No-BGM install still plays the bgm music when its supposed to mute it on installation? That's pretty much the only reason I still use themley since that function still works.

Edit:Actually nvm I found a way around it.

It's not a bug, it's a difference in how the functionality works. No BGM install installs just the theme parts, but doesn't remove existing BGM. This means that if your old BGM is a previous theme's BGM, it'll play that previous theme's BGM. Themely actively removes any BGM from playing.

I'm considering changing how it works to make it work more like Themely's since it seems to be a common misconception/feature request and I'm not quite sure how much I like its current behavior. That being said, people have asked for the current one to be the way it is, so I'm not sure what to do yet.

You could always keep both.

I decided to switch the behavior up. What was achievable with the old No BGM install feature (mixing theme BGMs) was already achievable thanks to the BGM Only install option and thus redundant. In the next release No BGM will make the BGM silent.

New release, fixes the QR crashes and a number of BGM preview crashes.

I tried to do splashes but all I get is a black screen whenever I turn off my 3ds with some random red and white numbers and letters and I have no idea whats causing it

Are you having problems booting into HOME Menu when you turn on the 3DS?

still crashing
  • Is your system a new or old type 3DS or 2DS?
  • How many themes are in your folder collection?
  • Are you using the .cia or .3dsx version?
  • What's the size of your SD card? What's its cluster size (32 KB or 64 KB)?
  • How much free space is available on your SD card?
  • Do you recall the exact themes you tried downloading through Theme Plaza browser?
  • What happens if you try downloading those themes through QR code instead?
