the slim is already on 4.55 its a gran turismo and my friend got it and its exploitable.
the shop has several thats why i was asking.

Since it's not in the image, it's a CUH-20xx console. If I'm reading the elotrolado thread right, it's older than the first European slim listed.

I was in a similar dilemma, and I opted for a slim.
If you don't have a 4K TV, and you aren't used to multisampling in your PC games - go for the slim. Because 90% of the time, resolution aka downscaling is the only change you'll get and as I said, native 1080p looks solid enough even without mutltisampling.
There are some exceptions but they are few and far between. You're better off saving that money for a future PS5, another controller, or something.

i own actually a 4k with hdr and have a pro on the latest firmware.
but the fan noise is so loud its like an exorcism is taking place in the pro, even swapped the thermal paste and still loud.

and im done with online actually so was gonna get me another console

MC97xxxxxxx is too new. Go to GameStop and ask employees there to look for new Pro with MC9690xxxxx or lower in their storage room. Multiple people here reported getting MC9690xxxxx with 4.55 from GameStop.

So I could ask for the same at target and ask for MC96 and wherever numbers follows that one it will be under 4.55 , also if they don’t want to take a look , can i return de ps4 , and ask them to return the money to me ?

Target has pretty good return policy. You should be able to return your newly purchased PS4. But don't do that too much. I heard these stores keep tab on people who return stuff too often. My personal experience is employees in big box stores, like Walmart or Target, are less knowledgeable on video game consoles and less willing to check a large number of units for you. But you experience may differ.

MC96 is NOT always 4.55. People reported MC9693xxxxx coming with 4.55 or 4.70. With GameStop, I would go with MC9690xxxxx or lower for a safer bet because you can't return opened new system there. With Target or Walmart, you can probably give MC9691xxxxx - MC9693xxxxx a try if that's the best you can find.

I am not gonna say 100% because the number of reports here is quite small compared to how many PS4 Pro are out there. But probably 99% safe if you manage to find one.

With the release of a kernel exploit for 4.05 I'm sure a lot of people will start looking where to buy a ps4/ps4 pro/ps4 slim within the correct firmware range. I think it would be a good idea to have a thread to share the firmware you got with your ps4, when and where do you buy it and also if it was a regular/slim or pro version. I tried looking for some info but only found a thread in wololo for firmware 1.76.
