I might wanna leave this here. I do not know but this shows what happens if you remove it
https://www.reddit.com/r/wiiu/comments/40pxwp/the_reason_virtual_console_is_dark_and_blurry/

It's still a bad design choice, N64 games and NES are especially bad. The Wii didn't have this issue. Those vertical lines are actually pseudo hi-res Mode 7, displaying at 512 x 256, 512 x 448 or 512 x 224, etc
resolutions, most TVs can't properly display. IIRC, the filters are supposedly to prevent seizures.

Personally, most of the homebrew emulators are superior to the Wii U VC and I'd suggest using those instead. GBA, NES, TG-16, Snes, all better on homebrew. N64, not so much.

But like this i have to put every rom on my sd,and sometimes i have sd detections and it gets annoying

Not really. I use RetroArch and it loads up the SD card just fine. Sounds like you need CFW installed to get faster read and write SD speeds. Either that, or you use the crappy VC emulators. Can't help you there.

I just hope switch virtual console will not be garbage like the Wii U one,it's really weird that nobody knows how to remove darkening

Agreed, it's a shame. While the N64 is garbage and indeed you're better playing NES or SNES through Retroarch, the GBA VC would be perfect if there was any way to remove the dark filter (like you have on 3DS).

They should hire NERD to do all their emulators; they're the team who programmed the DS emulator, as well as NES and Snes Classic Mini emulators. Either that, or hire M2, they wrote the Megadrive emulator on Wii and GBA
emulator on Wii U.

gba is probably in the alldata file, which isnt fulyl "explored" by now

The only emulator that has some real defects (that is, defects that the_randomizer doesn't exaggerate to the extreme) is te NES emulator with the blurriness, and some instances of the N64 VC where there is input delay with the gamepad (absent if you use any other controller)

GBA and DS emulators are particularly good. In any case, darkening aside, Virtual Console is not as bad as some vocal minorities says.

GBA isn't even that bad

GBA is fantastic, but it would be downright perfect without the dark filter.

You're better off using homebrew emulators, they actually have good compatibility.

It runs GBA smoothly and at full speed? I remember the Wii wasn't ideal and the PSP also had a lot of drops, but for whatever reason I never tried it on the Wii U. I'll give it a go tomorrow (:
