It seems Nintendo has patched amiibo exploits in the latest Switch 5.0 system update.

I've been using Amiibo SN Changer V2 with my N2 Elite for months and it doesn't work anymore since I updated my Switch. My N2 Elite still works fine with unmodified bin files but anything modified with Amiibo SN Changer just doesn't work anymore.

There are also scattered reports that Nintendo has disabled same day scans of the same amiibo, so it seems that even honest customers that genuinely bought the same amiibos multiple times are getting punished. But I have no way of verifying these claims since I don't own multiple copies of the same amiibo (and now I can't use duplicated dumps..)

Is anyone else experiencing these issues?

Wow can't imagine they'd do that.
I really thought they'd never figure out how to put an end to that sort of things.
Guess it's the only way the could do it (if it's true what you're saying) but it affects honest buyers as well so I'm kinda shocked.
Thankfully I won't be on 5.0.0 for a long time.

I updated my OG Amiiqo with N2 Elite Tag Manager 2.0.10 and all my amiibo bins are working fine in splatoon 2 on 5.0.0.

Havent tested bin changer yet.

Do custom NFC Tag amiibo still work?
What do you mean by custom?
Just BIN files flashed to a NFC tag? If so: Yes, it should be impossible for Nintendo to detect that as the TAGs in the official Amiibos actually are just NFC NTAG215.
What OP says is that using different Amiibos of the same Amiibo by altering the serial number won't work any longer.
For example I'm using this to get infinite shadow bows from the Smash Zelda Amiibo in BotW as it's the best bow in the game for dragon piece farming and korok quests.

Wonder if power saves still works.

Someone on Reddit told me that PowerSaves is still working but I can't verify the info. Also, there's another discussion going on in AnalogMan's original thread (argh I can't post a direct link because I'm a "new member"...) and another user says that Tagmo too is still working, so it looks like what Nintendo did isn't foolproof and that amiibo hacking is still possible. The issue seems to be limited specifically to the Amiibo SN Changer python script.

I've already contacted AnalogMan and he said he'll look into it.

There are some changes for Amiibos on 5.0.0+ which can be found on switchbrew (thx 2 Hexkyz):
http://switchbrew.org/index.php?title=Settings_services&curid=110&diff=4195&oldid=4119

I have not tested the script but amiibo_sn.py is not using a valid uid generator:

Line 17: bcc0 = uid0 ^ uid1 ^ uid2
which should be
bcc0 = uid0 ^ uid1 ^ uid2 ^ 0x88

You can try to fix it by editing the script file with an editor.
Maybe this and other validations have been added with 5.0.0+, when the script/amiibos have worked before.
