Hi,

I changed my sdcard from à 32gb to a 64gb and all my screenshot are lost.
I can see them on the computer but not on the switch anymore ...

Anyone have an idea ?

Thanks.

Just want to precise that I have transfert all the data from the old to the news sdcard on my computer.
And I have formated the new sdcard on the switch.

I have still the old SDcard intact. In case of ...

to get them on the new SD card
you might need to do this

with the old sd card in the switch->"use the copy all pic/video to switch memory option in data management"->get new card up and running->"use the copy all pic/video to sd card option in data management"

or

copy all old data on old SD card to pc

copy that to the new SD card

He's already attempted this procedure. I wonder what could have caused the data to become lost in the first place though. I would recheck your SD card information then compare the SD card to your PC and see if there are any folders missing.

Thank you guys, I managed to fix my problem.
Simply insert the old SD card and copy every pictures on the internal memory and then insert the new SD card and copy every thing back on it.

Why Nintendo doesn't think about evreything ?

Anyway, thank you ;-)

I know what this problem is related to.
The folders inside the screenshot folder have an illegal creation date.
If you change that date, the Switch refuses to look at the files inside.
If you copy the folders from one place to another, that illegal date is changed to a valid one.

I run into this problem last year when analyzing what kind of protection the JPG files had that prevented custom JPG files to be put inside the screenshots folder. I am sure there's an old thread about that where blujay and me were talking about this. I guess if you can edit the filesystem directly and set the folder to have the illegal date again it would work (that itself would be easy to do if the filesystem is FAT32 and you use a low level disk editor).

I still find it funny that the whole point images are locked down so hard on the Switch is to block people like you that are trying to find a way to exploit them for hax.

Not really, I just wanted to upload some manga on my device, that's the reason I was looking into why it didn't let me. Not sure what made you think I was looking for an exploit. Though you're right in that it is locked to make exploits harder to pull off.

Hoping someone sees this since this is a super old thread but i’m running into this issue now and would really like a fix :,) i still have both sd cards and can’t copy everything onto my internal memory since i have a lot of screenshots if someone has solved this please give me the steps
