I dropped our old Switch into too much water. My fault. But, I was the only one with Switch Online, so I'm the only one with any old save data. The thing is, I still have the memory board from the old one, but basically no info from it other than the fact that I wouldn't have been able to softmod it because it was one of the most recent models. If anyone knows how to get our old saves back, or how to find a place that can, I'd much appreciate it.

Get a USB to emmc adapter from Aliexpress.
Then you should be able to mount it on a PC with hacmountdisk.
There should be a USER partition which contains your account(s) and that is where your save files are.
On the new Switch, you can import those files with all kinds of homebrew tools.

It's gone unless you can fix the Switch it came out of.

You need the keys from the console (they're per-console keys) in order to decrypt the eMMC.

If it were the other way around, the eMMC being broken and having no previous backup, you could use a modchip to get it booting with a new eMMC but forever have to use it offline since it's no longer a valid console.

This is a stupidly complicated method, but if you can find someone that can transplant the SoC from the broken Switch -assuming the SoC is still fine- to a working donor board, you would be able to dump the keys and decrypt the eMMC. Or just use it as-is lol
