happy hacking :-)
I don't know if i'm too late and if i am sorry, and i heard that the parts you needed for this got discontinued, but if by any chance you happen to have a spare shuriken laying around your closet i just happened to get into homebrew and stuff on my wii and this would be really great to help me access gecko OS's wiiired (?) I am willing to pay! =)

Hey, sorry if I did something wrong in this message lol, I'm not used to GBAtempt. Anyways, I am very interested in buying one of these. Please let me know how mush USD I could get one for, and if you can sell it through Ebay (My mom doesn't trust anything not official).

Nope all gone now, no longer selling them sorry.
Sadly from 26th October 2017 xillinx have discontinued the xc9500 series cpld which is used inside the shuriken usb device with no direct replacement I have decided to stop selling the devices. At the time of writing 8 December 2017 I currently have enough parts to make only eight more devices after which the shuriken usb will be no more.

thank you to the 150 or so people that bought one over the years, over the weekend I will get the parts list together and open source the pcb. That way if you can get hold the cpld via ebay you can still build your own, oh and marry xmas to all.

Hello, mind letting me know how to program the CPLD (with an Arduino if possible)?
I have found a pre-soldered board of the exact CPLD and would like to assemble my own USB Gecko

Are you sure that the XC9572XL was discontinued? That discontinuation notice is specifically for the 5.0V XC9500 parts, while the XC9572XL is 3.3V (and not on the complete list of parts). Additionally, Mouser has several thousand on order, which I definitely wouldn't expect for a part that was discontinued 4 years ago.

3 years late but you can do that, I've used this https://github.com/mrjimenez/JTAG (release build) with python 2.7 and it worked pretty well for me, I did comment out some code for the VREF pins but I don't think this is necessary
